COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This deep colored American Brown Ale is often requested and one of our personal favorites. Many a weekend was spent perfecting this one. Brewed with 2 - row pale and 5 specialty malts, its malty in both flavor and smell. A heap of Cascade and Willamette add to balance this easy drinking ale. Hole up, have a few, and tell us what you think. We’re bettings it’s the best American Brown Ale you’ll ever have.

What a nutty bitch! The can was a surprise, but I bought these because I couldn’t take bottles on the beach. Aroma was actually delicious average carbonation. Full taste, malty & bitter, not hoppy. Quiet aftertaste, very drinkable

Can courtesy of "justinatbeaumont". Colour...amber with a thin head. Nose...sort of Belgian-ish. Palate...slightly bitter, lightly funky, not much else. Not bad but not grand.

A: Poured deep briwn with crimson highlights and asmall tannish cap and light lacing S: Some citrus on the nose with some toffee and nuts T: Has a nice toffee flavor with a light citrus hops, some nuts in the background with a hint of caramel stickiness M: A nice medium body with good carbonation, some toffee dominates the palate O: I am not a fan of this style whatsoever but I found this beer tasty, drinkable and balanced

Mostly clear, dark oak brown, clingy head.  Very nice, sweet roast aroma -- chewing/pipe tobacco qualities.  Grainy sweetness, light bitterness.  Body is a little flaccid and watery.  Not terribly complex. Taproom.

12 oz. can. Pretty sure this is the first infected canned beer I’ve ever had. The pour yields a hazy, rusty amber body with an overly active, steadfast head of cream tinted froth (infection-induced). Thick clumps of lace cling hard to the glass. The nose shows a sharp, dirty, metallic, overtone that dominates the overly attenuated brown sugar malt. Flavors follow suit, very dirty and yeasty, with very little discernible hop or malt character. The palate is intensely carbonated, sharp, and peppery. It actually stings the roof of the mouth. Failure all around. These Good People need to work on good sanitation.

On tap at the brewery, pours a dark brown with a 2" tan head. Nose is malt and hops, taste is the same. This is not your average brown ale. Maltiness is very well balanced with a slight hoppy bitterness. Another great brew from Good People!

Relatively light in color and body as far as browns go. Surprisingly clean and crisp, with flavors of toffee and chocolate. Nice balance of hops and malt on this one.

Aroma of warm floral hops, apricot, good nutty malts. Pours red to brown with a warm film. Tastes of good floral hops, roasted nuts and a nice malt smoother. Great brown.

From notes. First reviewed 9/6/2011. Poured from a 12 oz. can into a pint glass. This pours a full brown color, hazy with a creamy white head. The head retains nicely and leaves a little bit of lace down the sides of the glass. Chocolate malt, a bit of coffee, nutty malts, and a bit of peat are all present in the nose. The flavor is very malt forward. Cocoa, hazelnut, and toffee malt up front. A bit of peat and then a soft earthy hop presence. The light bitterness lingers into the aftertaste. Light tingling carbonation turns creamy for most of each sip. Fairly clean with a soft grainy texture. A mild stickiness is noticeable at the beginning of the sip and a mild oiliness is noticeable at the end. To me this is just not that exciting of a style, but I think it was executed well and I am glad to have tried a beer from Good People in Alabama.

Draft at Central in Montg.  Pours hazy brown with thin tan head.  Aroma of roasted malt and toffee.  Taste of toffee and caramel.  Better than expected.  Medium mouthfeel.
