2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Can pour courtesy of Jeremy. Pours dark copper with explosive tan head. The aroma has mild notes of cherries and lemon. The taste seems improved over what the nose was delivering with some malts, roasted malts, a touch of nuttiness and some faint earthiness too. It ends with some acidity and a lemon/lime like quality.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Can thanks to someone at the tasting. Pours a dark murky brown color with a medium grey head. A sweet citrus hop aroma along with more traditional toasted malts in the nose. The flavor is certainly a very hoppy Brown ale; sweet citrus and pine, toast and light chocolate. Very nice. Drinkable.

1.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
12oz can thanks to sommersb on BA. Whoa, beer explosion and glass full of foam. They carbonated the hell out of this one. The beer ends up being a medium brown with not great clarity. The aroma is nice, with nutty notes, caramel, and toast. Thatís where the positives end though. The flavor is nutty but seems a little oxidized, with cardboard notes and a slight hoppiness to it. The mouthfeel is just...bubbles. This is the most carbonated beer Iíve ever had. Absolutely ridiculous. Man, this is not good. I believe itís probably better on tap, but out of the can, they need to go back to the drawing board here.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
12 oz. can. Pours dark brown with a thin beige head. The aroma is roasted malts, slight coffee and nuts. The flavor is slightly sweet and unpleasantly bitter. The palate is medium and slightly astringent. Overall, a boring beer.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz can, no date, but a fresh batch. This is WAYYYYY over-carbonated!!! Pour took forever and the head kept growing and growing. I hear this is just isolated to one batch. Eventually settles down to a light brown cap on a reddish brown body.
Aroma is pretty mild, featuring light bread and toast, some yeast, nutty, grass, hint of caramel, a little fruit. Low to moderate strength at best. Improves slightly as it warms.
Flavor is quite nice, fairly sweet caramel, brown sugar, toffee, bread & toast, nutty, hint of chocolate. Quite a flavorful Brown Ale.
Mouthfeel, after the carbonation bomb settles down, is quite smooth, almost creamy.
Carbonation issues aside, this is a very tasty Brown Ale. Weak aroma hurts, though.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A: The can was amazingly carbonated, but that could easily have been our fault. Eventually the beer appears under the massive off-white head and is brown in color.
S: There is an underlying green apple note to the beer which sort of mars the experience, but otherwise the nose is good. Chocolate and nutty malts with a nice toffee note to it. Plenty of bread and just a bit of roast.
T: The flavor is similarly affected by the green apple, but the rich maltiness and chocolate flavors are quite good. A touch of roast and coffee, and a really pleasant nuttiness.
M: Medium to full in body with a moderate carbonation.
O: My first beer from Alabama and it was a good one. I look forward to trying more from these guys.

First time with the new cans. Nice, very nice pour. Rich caramel color with a thick foamy head. Nutty and malty aroma. Fresh, fairly hoppy for the style. A bit aggressive on the carbonation, but finishes nicely anyway.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: OCT 11, 2010 Draft. Poured a clear dark brown with some ruby - small faded beige head that lasted until the end of my glass. Aroma was bright clean malts and faint hops. Taste: nuts, lots of malts, understated but fresh hops. Medium to thin body. Overall a solid Brown Ale.
