COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Bearded Lady is a bit of a departure from the Good People norm. While most of our beers are robust, bold, and hoppy, the Bearded Lady is smooth and drinkable. Never fear, it still has the quality craftsmanship you expect from Good People. Our take on the Wheat Beer, a perennial favorite, we hope to have made a beer that is both flavorful and refreshing. The light body is complemented with just a hint of hops and just a twinge of tartness that give the Bearded Lady a subtle citrus flavor that leaves you wanting more. While we were not trying to reinvent the wheel or change the history of beer, we wanted to make a beer that was refreshing and highly drinkable for the warm Alabama summer, yet not sacrifice the integrity of anything with the Good People label. This is a beer we would be proud to hoist over our lawnmowers and say, “Today grass…you are mine!” With the Bearded Lady, we hope we have done just that. We hope you think so too.

Tap. Pours hazy yellow, small white head, nice lacing. Aroma of wheat, light lemon, grain. Flavor is the same, light sweet, light zesty metallic bitter. Light body. Just not my thing

Draft at Below the Radar. Pours blond with an inch of white foam that leaves a lot of lacing. Not much on the nose. Slightly fruity on the tongue but very dry on the finish. Maybe a little too dry to be truly refreshing.

coolpop (1202) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - JUN 3, 2012
Draft sampled at Magic City Brewfest. Poured a hazy straw with a medium-sized white head. Aroma was citrus, touch of banana, a bit yeasty. Flavor was wheat, banana, lemon, mildly tart and bitter. Light mouthfeel. Very drinkable; interesting twist on a summer wheat beer.
