COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Big coffee flavors dominate early only to be wiped out by an enormous about of Willamette hop flavors. One of GPBCís most requested beers. Complex and full of flavor yet amazingly sessionable. Brewed with coffee from Primavera Coffee Roasters here in Birmingham, AL.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, charred malt, coffee grounds. Flavor of sweet roasted malt, charred malt. Coffee is faint in the flavor. Decent stout but could use a little more flavor. 7/4/7/4/14 (3.6/5)

Tap. Pours clear black, medium tan head, creamy, great lacing. Aroma is espresso, tobacco, dark roasted malts. Flavor is the same, light sweet, light bitter increasing to far finish. Medium body, creamy, quite nice.

Tap at hop city - pours pitch with a tan. Aroma is chocolate and bread. I didnít get any of the coffee on the nose. Taste is sweet with occasional bitter notes from the hops. Finish clean if a tad dry. Overall, solid enough, but boring.

Draft at hop city Birmingham. Pours black with a thin khaki head. Not much on the nose. Didnít get much coffee from this or a ton of evidence from the oatmeal either. Still thereís plenty of roasted malt goodness and it finishes clean. Solid but not spectacular.

(plastic milk jug thanks to blutt59) clear deep brown, wispy tan bubbles. Nose of lactose, oats, coffee, sweet, bit of agave. Taste is a bit burnt, oats, soft, acidic and a little bitter. Nearly uncarbonarted and thin. Not liking the finish at all.

UPDATED: MAR 23, 2014 Bottle pour at the Rocket City Brewfest. Dark brown, almost black with a creamy head. Seemed a bit flat, thin - I expected more body from this. Good mix of hop, malt and coffee, with a nice bitterness, but it lacked some oomph. Might be better on tap.

Sampled at Knoxville Brewfest. It was just called "Good People Stout", but I tasted a lot of coffee, so Iím hoping Iím rating the correct beer. Anyway, yeah - coffee. Some hickory notes, some chocolate, but nice mix of coffee and hops. Tasty stuff. Also, the servers were rockiní some truly epic beards, so they got that goiní for íem...
