COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First debuted at the 2009 Magic City Brewfest as the first Imperial Stout legally brewed in Alabama. This bottle conditioned version was brewed especially for the County Line Series. A huge, viscous, full-bodied, dark as night, imperial stout yet somehow amazingly drinkable. Big aromas and flavors, including cherries and raspberries, roasted malts, dark chocolate, and spiced rum. It’s recommeded to serve in the low to mid 50s as the flavors really explode when allowed to come up in temperature. ABV 8.5%, 72 bottles.

On tap @ Good People. Black beer with a thin layer of tan foam. Big time bitter roasted malts and ash. Very ashy on the nose, in fact. Quite burnt. Coffee, coffee grounds, and some licorice. Definitely a lot of sugar character, too. Sort of a creme brûlée thing going on. The flavor is much sweeter than I would have expected from the aroma. Slight maple, perhaps...some dark cherries and licorice candies as well. It’s alright.

My current favorite of the offerings I've tried from Good People. A colossal beer with nice coffee notes.

64oz growler courtesy of brentfeesh for growler swap 3.0! thanks, brent! pours a slick, slightly viscous, deep brown that sits damn near black in the glass and is capped by a rich, creamy, dark mocha head that leaves thick, glass-staining legs. aroma is great with big notes of rich, dark chocolate, heavy roast, and great smoky elements of campfire and bacon that are backed by notes of brown sugar, coffee beans, and toasted vanilla cookies. flavor is outstanding as well, pretty bold actually, with huge notes of smoked malts, very intense espresso, bitter cacao chocolate, and burnt toast backed by hints of licorice, vanilla, plum skins, and dry earth. palate is on the heavier side of medium bodied with smooth carbonation and a long, heavily roasted, bitter finish. overall, a really well done imperial stout.
