COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A far cry from our original IPA, The Hitchhiker is a big floral/citrus American IPA. Aromas and flavors of pineapple, grapefruit, orange, and tangerines take center stage with a tad bit of caramel malt backbone to balance just a bit. A very dry finish with hops flavors lingering...this one is for the hopheads.

On tap at World of Beer in Birmingham, AL. Poured amber with fruity aroma. Lightt hoppy, piney taste. Not bad, but nothing exceptional either.

On tap at Chattahoochee Brewing Co. Aroma is slight pine , light resin. Taste is light pine hops, finishes dry with medium bitterness. Palate is smooth, low carbination. Not bad, but not my favorite.

Strong citrus and pine flavors with a sweet and mellow malt body. Leaves a resinous piney bitter aftertaste that isn't great, but otherwise a really good IPA.

Tap at Good People Brewery. Poured amber with off white head. Strong citrus and resin aroma. Slight malt with a dominating citrus and slightly grassy (in a good way) hop flavor. Dry bitterness that left you wanting more. Wish it wasn’t just a seasonal.

Draft. Amber with a medium white head. Strong aroma of resin hops and caramel. Flavor of strong resin and citrus hops, with not much of a malt presence and a bitter finish.

Sampled at 2013 ENBF. Orange, clear, loose white head. Stoney, piney hop flavors dominate the aroma. Flavor is a bit of caramel and honey, mixed with big piney hop flavors. Nice sticky hop finish. Very tasty...

Draft at brewery. Sign says West Coast style ipa. Amber with a white top. Scent is juicy citrus and sweet malts. Taste is caramel and citrus. Nice

Had this several months ago on tap. Aroma: understated citrus, fruit, hops. Taste was the same... everything understated/mild. A good beer but not one I would look for.

Sample at Nashville beer fest. This brewer was a bright spot in an otherwise ok beer tasting day. Everything they had was solid as you will see from my ratings and I kept going back to get each of what they had to offer. Make the trip to Birmingham and catch these guys. Pine and citrus aroma and spicey peppery finish. Nice body and very west coast.

ENBF. Pours amber with an off white head. Aroma of fruity ale esters and citrus. Medium mouthfeel with a semi dry texture. Flavor of caramel and toffee countered by a grapefruit rind bitterness. Dry and hoppy finish. Simple, but well done.
