COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A far cry from our original IPA, The Hitchhiker is a big floral/citrus American IPA. Aromas and flavors of pineapple, grapefruit, orange, and tangerines take center stage with a tad bit of caramel malt backbone to balance just a bit. A very dry finish with hops flavors lingering...this one is for the hopheads.

Draft at brewery. Sign says West Coast style ipa. Amber with a white top. Scent is juicy citrus and sweet malts. Taste is caramel and citrus. Nice

Had this several months ago on tap. Aroma: understated citrus, fruit, hops. Taste was the same... everything understated/mild. A good beer but not one I would look for.

Sample at Nashville beer fest. This brewer was a bright spot in an otherwise ok beer tasting day. Everything they had was solid as you will see from my ratings and I kept going back to get each of what they had to offer. Make the trip to Birmingham and catch these guys. Pine and citrus aroma and spicey peppery finish. Nice body and very west coast.

ENBF. Pours amber with an off white head. Aroma of fruity ale esters and citrus. Medium mouthfeel with a semi dry texture. Flavor of caramel and toffee countered by a grapefruit rind bitterness. Dry and hoppy finish. Simple, but well done.

Growler from Highland Package Store. Pours golden orange with a large off white head. Aroma is mostly hops: citrus, floral, peppery. I also get some sweet, caramel malt. Flavor follows aroma: good hop character, flavorful and fairly bitter. Could use a somewhat sturdier malt backbone. Palate is medium, slightly oily. A good IPA.

Not a bad offering. This thing was obtained in an Alabama Growler (i.e., 1/2/ gallon milk jug) at Vulcan. Good Looking brew really. Aroma is light but nicely hoppy. The flavor is mostly strong hops supported on a malt body that is not dominant. Rather the hops play rather well in a pine/spice like procedure. A very drinkable brew. Dry with a medium body.

Growler from Dee’s Package. Pours a really neat tint of orange, loads of head on this beer. Nose is a nice strong bitter citrus that makes you thirsty. A ton of flavor in this beer, lots of peppery spice and citrus on a really hoppy ride to the finish. Very drinkable, but very potent. A great IPA.

Lots of pressure this is the first beer I’ve added. Draft from Vulcan beverage. Very clear complexion with a orange-tan color. Aroma is pepper, resin, and citrus. Flavor is very sharp and bitter with floral, citrus notes. It’s a big IPA but I would not jump to imperial. Thin mouth-feel. Another great Good People. I am gonna miss living by this brewery!
