Real funky. Good aroma, but tastes off. Thanks Brentfeesch (by way of Seymour). Very hoppy, but not in a good way. "Its no bueno" says Nadya. No balance.

Can at a tasting at Max’s for Sam’s visit. Pours a hazy gold with a thin white head. Softly hoppy on the nose, light citrus and hops. Medium bodied, sweet caramel. Good strong bitterness on the finish, light warmth. Decent enough IPA.

Baked  pineapple aroma.  Golden ale,a bit darker than their pale ale.  Clingy head. Dry, woody, silky mouthfeel, grassy tones, green pecan, assertive bitterness. Medium to slightly heavy body.  Long bitter finish.  Taproom, BABC.

Sampled at the 2012 East Nashville Beer festival. Cloudy orange, nice white head. Smells citrusy, smokey, a little grassy. Clean an crisp palate. Flavor is citrus and grassy hops, thin malts. Not fancy, but tasty.

12 oz. can. Pours a clear, dark, orange-amber body with a tall, lasting head of off-white froth. Lacing is incredibly dense and hard, coating the glass in a solid shroud of foam. The nose is based in lightly fruited bread and decently attenuated crystal malt. Hops suggest of apricot and sweet orange peel. Flavors are balanced, leaning slightly towards the malty side, showing decent fruit character but ultimately too much sweetness. The palate is substantive and smooth up front, with feathery carbonation and a moderately astringent, sticky finish. Decent, drinkable brew. Better than I expected, but I wasn’t expecting much.

UPDATED: MAR 21, 2012 Good looking can. Pours copper. Piney and citrusy with a little grass. Slightly hazy. Dry and crisp. Could definitely drink out of the can this summer by the pool.

Wow, what a generic looking can. Next-to-last of my notes from last year’s DLD, where I got in TWO Alabama beers. Pours with a surprisingly dark brown color. Not a lot of foam, but then I’m at the bottom of the glass. Dry-hopping gives this a definite American Pale Ale slant, and helps make it tasty. The can has set for a while. But it’s still very decent, and I can find an English hop backbone.
