Sampled at the 2012 East Nashville Beer festival. Cloudy orange, nice white head. Smells citrusy, smokey, a little grassy. Clean an crisp palate. Flavor is citrus and grassy hops, thin malts. Not fancy, but tasty.

12 oz. can. Pours a clear, dark, orange-amber body with a tall, lasting head of off-white froth. Lacing is incredibly dense and hard, coating the glass in a solid shroud of foam. The nose is based in lightly fruited bread and decently attenuated crystal malt. Hops suggest of apricot and sweet orange peel. Flavors are balanced, leaning slightly towards the malty side, showing decent fruit character but ultimately too much sweetness. The palate is substantive and smooth up front, with feathery carbonation and a moderately astringent, sticky finish. Decent, drinkable brew. Better than I expected, but I wasnít expecting much.

UPDATED: MAR 21, 2012 Good looking can. Pours copper. Piney and citrusy with a little grass. Slightly hazy. Dry and crisp. Could definitely drink out of the can this summer by the pool.

Wow, what a generic looking can. Next-to-last of my notes from last yearís DLD, where I got in TWO Alabama beers. Pours with a surprisingly dark brown color. Not a lot of foam, but then Iím at the bottom of the glass. Dry-hopping gives this a definite American Pale Ale slant, and helps make it tasty. The can has set for a while. But itís still very decent, and I can find an English hop backbone.

From notes. First reviewed 11/4/2011. Poured from a 12 oz. can into a pint glass. Thanks to RC0032 for bringing this back for me. Good People IPA pours a tangerine caramel color, mostly hazy, with an absolutely beautiful dollup of eggshell foam on top. Small and large bubbles stay intermixed in a great retaining head that leaves lace all over the glass. The nose is fairly restrained. It smells mostly of sweet caramel malt, with a grapefruit and spicy pine back. The flavor is fairly mild as well. Soft malt has a caramel sweetness and a fair amount of cereal grain flavor. A few earthy and spicy notes lead into a most pine flavored hop bill. Some grapefruit and orange rind round out the bitter flavor. A light bitterness lingers through the finish. This is definitely unfiltered; a slight graininess is noticeable throughout each sip. The carbonation is fairly smooth, and the body feels a little fuller than the 6% ABV would let on. Not much in the way of residual hop resin, it is fairly clean. I generally prefer my IPAís to be more of the West Coast variety, light on the malts and heavy on the fruity hops. This was more on the gentle side, but I would drink it again.

Can courtesy of brentfeesh- Cheers, Brent! Pours a yellow-orange color with a white head. Nose is caramel malt, earthy hops, and some sweet citrus. Flavor is similar- to call this "not overly hop-assertive" would be an exaggeration. Very mild, easy-drinking IPA with some caramel and some citrus. Nice beer, and easy to drink, although I had no idea the ABV was 6%; I would have said high 4s.

Can. Pours orange with an off white head. Grassy and light citric hoppy aroma with light earthy notes and toffee sweet malts. The flavor is floral and grassy, with sweet malty toffee notes. Pretty good.
