Hazy copper pour with a dirty frothy head. Aroma was very lite but nutty came to kind. Pleasant flavor with a nutty presence followed by a light caramel malt grain then a spicy hop presence. The hops linger and dry it out in the end. Medium body, dry mouthfeel. Ok.

On tap at the Hopspitality Brewfest. Pours a slightly hazy orange. The aroma is grassy and pine hops, with some caramel and rye malts. The flavor is very bitter, with only a little balance. The palate is medium to heavy and sticky. Overall, a pretty good IPA, but the rye doesn’t come through very strong.

Growler, big thanks to Stacey & Michael from Huntsville for sharing! Pours clear amber with a two finger off white head that leaves a bunch of spotty and drippy lacing and holds a good cap. Hoppy aroma of pine, citrus, grassy & floral with a shot of rye to go along with it, very good strength. Flavor is more pine, citrus fruit and rind, very nice spicy rye kick, a dash of caramel malt sweetness, followed by moderate bitterness, dry, lingering finish. Mouthfeel is medium, almost creamy, low to medium carbonation. One of the better Rye Beers I’ve had and a great hop kick to play along with it. My first Good People brew and I’m quite impressed!

UPDATED: OCT 25, 2010 Growler from Highland Package in Birmingham. Poured a hazy copper with a medium size off-white head. Aroma: blast of pine hops with some citrus, mild caramel malt, just a hint of rye... aroma of a DIPA. Taste: pine hops, mild citrus, fruity, caramel malt backbone, just a hint of rye - all very fresh. Taste was just shy of a DIPA, but still big. Medium to full body. Nice bitterness in the finish. Mild sticky mouthfeel. Overall a really good brew. NOTE: when I bought this abv was listed as 7.5% (unlike the abv above). Re-rate: I have had this a few times now - I keep picking up some nice vanilla in the taste, and maybe some wood too. This is a really good beer.

Draught at j Clyde. Amber with a very thick and frothy cream colored head that rises like a soufle. Aromas of piney hops. Flavor is woodsy and almost rye whiskyesque with nice evergreen hops on the finish.

Mostly clear amber pour with a frothy white head. Aroma is grapefruit and lemon. Taste is mild and well balanced with malt and hop and the rye gives it a good edge. Medium thin body with medium carbonation. Dry finish with some bitterness.
