This classic American Pale Ale is is floral to the nose and flavorful to the mouth. 2 - row, 5 specialty malts, and just the slap right amount of Cascade hops makes our pale ale just a shade short of perfect. Grab some and tell us what you think. Surely to be one of your new favorites.

UPDATED: DEC 11, 2010 Draft sample. Orange/copper in color with a medium off-white head. Aroma: mild citrus hops & malt. Taste: mild citrus hops, malt, maybe some pine... all a little watered down. Light body, not much depth. Overall: average... but, to be fair, I am not really a fan of this style of beer. Re-rate: I had a new batch of this last night - on tap, poured in a mason jar. Much, much better this time: Poured a dense, cloudy orange/ gold with a medium off-white head. Aroma: citrus, hops, malt. Taste carried out the aroma - still a little watery but for a Pale Ale not so much. This batch had some depth to it. Finally found a Pale Ale I can drink! Original rate: 3.1

Pours a medium off yellow with a small frothy head. Flavor is like a watered down Hitch Hiker IPA. Taste is also watery IPA-esque. A mediocre and boring beer.

Bottle. Clear orangey golden with a medium white head. Aroma and flavor both really struck me as more appropriate for an IPA: only mildly malty and completely overwhelmed by the hops. And the hops were oddly unflavorful, just bitter. Very unbalanced. Medium body. Dry finish. Not to my liking, and not what Id call an APA. In fact, I rated this like a so-so IPA, but marked down the overall for so poorly representing the style. Ill try again another day, if for no other reason that Im so desperate to support my local brewer.

Draft at JClydes. Pale copper with a creamy disc of bubbles. Nice lace. Mild aroma of resin and light honey. Taste of caramel with a nice finish of resin and light citrus that keeps on drying. LIght-medium body is smoothly carbonated and finishes dry.

On tap in Birmingham. Not a bad beer, but slightly water with a hint of hops and malt. My dad said he liked this beer - which is not a good sign!

Nice golden hue, very pretty lacing down the side of the glass. Head sticks around for a while. Very balanced malt and hop characteristics, very cascade. Not a dry pale ale, but not at all sweet; just enough to quench your thirst.

UPDATED: SEP 16, 2009 Tap @ the 1st Annual Rocket City Brewfest. Hazy pale golden color. Thick rocky white head. Nice lace. Smells perfect. Nice deep pale malts. Flavor has lots of citrus hops. Gigantic malt body. Perfectly balanced. Smooth and creamy. Delicious.

These was a fair brew - medium bodied and soft, but crisp and hoppy. Not great for a pale ale, but decent for a Good People beer. Still seems unbalanced though.

Nice beer served on tap at J. Clyde. Pours a dark yellow with a touch of amber. Nice head with plenty of lacing. Smell is hop dominant....citrus and floral. Taste is hoppy of center with citrus esters. Not overly dry but nothing sweet about the finish. Mouthfeel is appropriate for style. Very drinkable APA. Hoppier than some but and easily sessionable beer. Nice APA.

A dark orange with a pretty thin head that disappears quickly. Aroma is light and somewhat sweet...not to hoppy, and even a dash of sourness mixed in...OK for an APA. Flavor is some burnt malts, and a whole lot of bitterness, without much of a hop profile coming through otherwise...maybe a hint of the Cascade hops.....concur with others that this is a bit confusing for the style.
