Poured and orange brown with off white head. The nose was all hops. There is a nice blend of hops used and the malts pull this beer together nicely. This beer is very worth seeking out.

12 oz. bottle served in a Founders snifter. Huge thanks to Holland (Eric) for hitting this obscure want!
A: Pours a solid amber color with a little chilled haze to the body. A mild yellow head roughly one finger in height forms on the pour and dissipates to a thin collar.
S: Smells of resin, mild pine and sweet vine fruits fill the glass. There is a subtle honey sweetness in there as well with light flowery notes. A sweet doughy malt smell is present as well.
T: The flavor resides on the maltier side of things with a bready and honey flavor, but the hops really pop up mid palate with a resin and bitter pine flavor. There is a slight alcohol twinge, but it is short lived. The finish is again sweet with a floral quality.
M: Medium bodied with a semi-sticky mouthfeel. The carbonation is medium, but bordering on the lower end of that.
O: This was a very balanced and overall delicious DIPA. I feel like the nose was a little better and more complex than the taste, but it didnít stray to far from that. My first beer from this brewery and Iím excited to try more. Bring on the Fatso!

Poured a clear amber color. Smells of hops and citrus. Very bitter beer, but goes down smooth. Actually a decent beer for the south.

On tap at Rocket City Brewfest. Pale, clear gold with a light head. Dry with a strong hoppy flavor, some hints of citrus. Good body and a nice bitterness.

On draft at Mellow Mushroom in Huntsville, AL. ďYes, may I have anotherĒ was the answer around my table full of pizza and empty glasses. Poured a clear dark copper with a light beige head. Iíve read some ratings where the aroma was lacking. I feel opposite. Aroma of crushed up needles and pedals with sweet malts and a citrus dressing. Taste was just as powerful. Clean finish. Great beer.

UPDATED: SEP 1, 2012 One of my favorites. Very hoppy and quite bitter. A little citrus on the nose. Lots of hops up front. All bitter at the back.

So terribly disappointed with the aroma.. Very weak but i do get a grassy, slight citrus nose with a hint of earthy malt like scent. Lacking on appearance, may be do to a lack of carbonation at the pub. Zero lacing.. Taste is very well balanced. Malty earth comes through with slight caramel and almost a tart citrus flavors that fades to a grassy bitter finish. A little bland on the palate, again might be due to low carbonation levels. Great taste but could be so much better if other areas of the beer were tweaked. Very drinkable!

Can thanks to woodchopper on BA! Hazy apricot pour, lasting carbonation which eventually left some nice lacing with a good aroma of syrupy sweet herbal/dirty hops and wood. Flavor is very sweet thick bitter hops, citrus rind and finished dry with all the previous flavors falling off. Decent beer, but Iím guessing it may not be fresh. I would like to try this again if given the chance.
