COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A big, joyous celebration of all things hoppy (5 different varities). Large flavors and aroma of pine, citrus, flowers, spice, pineapple, and grassiness complimented with a touch of biscuit and caramel backbone. Our most requested beer.

Draft at J.Clyde. Gold/orange pour with a thick white head. Scent is big citrus and dank. Taste is sweet caramel then citrus and earthy. Very nice and I can’t wait to drink one of these from the cans I brought home!

Pours dark copper. Blast of pine and citrus on the nose. Same on the palate. Almost orangey. Alcohol is noticeable, but complements the rest of the beer. Very drinkable DIPA.

A few ounces poured into a glass to assess appearance, but the later enjoyed out of the can. Dark amber.copper color, mostly clear with a light tan head. Aroma is big with pine, resins, slight sweet citrus fruits, caramel malts and a tinge of alcohol. Taste is equally piney and resinous, again with accents of sweet citrus fruits. There’s a rich malt backbone and the alcohol doesn’t quite hide itself on the taste...but instead of lessening the drinkability of it, the alcohol complements this DIPA well. Cream full body, rich and filling. This is a fantastic DIPA.

Tasted on 2/18/12 from a 12oz can at the Fortuitous release. Pours a clear, light orange with an average white head that leaves average lace. The nose is pine resin and bitter citrus peel hops with a light caramel malt aroma. The flavor is quite bitter with the pine resin and citrus peel dominating and the malt backbone nearly non-existent. The body is medium with average carbonation and a long bitter pine resin and citrus peel finish.

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2012 In the south, if you are dating a girl and she tells you she’s a snake handler, be careful. It’s not a euphemism. At any rate, this leans toward the sweeter side of the DIPA equation, with a lot of slick caramel and toffee and a big hit of piney hops. Odd but not unpleasant medicinal note, too. Definitely warrants further investigation...

12oz canned Jan 23, 2012. Super fresh. Served at around 45F.

Pours lightly hazy orange with a good light tan head that leaves pretty lacing and holds a good cap.

Aroma features tons of citrus hops, particularly orange and tangerine, but also some grapefruit, apricot, floral hops, hints of grass and pine with a good caramel malt presence that plays nicely with the hops.

Flavor also features tons of orange and tangerine citrus with more grapefruit than the nose, resinous hops, a little pine, good caramel malt backbone offering a bit of sweetness to combat the good bitterness on the finish. A bit of alcohol detected, but not bad at all for over 9%.

Mouthfeel is medium/full bodied, creamy, a bit sticky with nice carbonation.

Really impressive stuff. Very juicy DIPA, very drinkable. Quite a treat!

Draft at mellow mushroom south. Pours light orange with a slight white head. Not much going on with the nose which is a bit of a disappointment. Slight hints of pine sol on the tongue with some bitterness on the finish but they both seemed subdued. The alcohol is well disguised but there are much better examples out there of the style.

Growler consumed same day. Amber color, massive beige head, solid lacing. Aroma of pure pine. Taste is very bitter pine resin. Rough trade!

A couple 4 oz. pours into a taster glass. 4.0 A: Clear medium orange. About half a finger of creamy, white head. Retention is average with just a touch of lacing. 4.0 S: Mix of citrusy, spicy, and piney hops. Grapefruit, lots of pineapple, some mango, and orange. Malts offer a fairly strong caramel aroma with biscuity malts overall. Nice. 4.0 T: Same fruitiness as listed in the nose, though surprisingly a lot more intense. Malts offer a good bit of caramel and a strong biscuity vibe. Good taste, but too biscuity for me. Light sugary flavor. Moderate bitterness. 3.5 M: Heavier medium body. Good moderate carbonation, especially for a growler. A bit chewy and could be creamier. 3.5 D: Good beer despite being overly biscuity. Serving type: growler Reviewed on: 07-17-2011 19:48:30

on tap at MM, golden color with tall off white foam, aroma of tropics and malt, flavor is nice florals, grapefruits, malty with a bit of too much bitter metal on finish for me
