Drank a while back; just getting around to rating it. Draft. Dark hazy amber with a medium beige head. Lots of dark fruits (dates?), mustiness, sweet malt, some clove and banana in the aroma. Rich, sweet, slightly funky taste. Dark fruit, candy sugar, some spiciness. Thick mouthfeel. Damn, that alcohol warms you up. Very impressive beer from the good folks at Good People.

Enjoyed in a snifter at The J Clyde. It was fairly dark in the bar but my best guess on appearance was that is was hazy amber with a wispy head. Musty fruit in the aroma (dates and such), candy like notes and molasses are also present. The flavor has a well balanced mix of dates, molasses, caramel made all the more interesting by notes of wheat, chewy candies, and warming alcohol. Very pleasing. Creamy mouth feel with light carbonation. A real winner by these guys.
