COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Traditionally found in Germany and Belgium, Wheat Beers are characterised by a larger proportion of wheat. The proteins in the wheat contribute to the head on the beer being thick and long lasting. The beer will be hazy and have a silky mouth feel. Our Wheat Beer is fermented with true Wheat Beer yeast at 20°C and will present banana and clove aromas and flavours which are true to style characteristics of the beer. Our Wheat Beer is hopped with Hersbrucker and Tettnang Hops and unfiltered.

This had quite an amazing aroma, lots of clove and banana, real classic Hefe characters and plenty of it. Quite an effervescent style as it should be, my first beer from this SA brewer and a pretty good one.

Pours amber with a large head. Nose shows lemon, orange and doughy yeast. Lots of citrus, not much else going on. Similar flavours, massively doughy wheat characters and lots of citrus. Carbonation is incredibly high, really detracts from the flavours.

330ml bottle. Foam, Foam and more foam. Big bubbly and white head. Banana aromas abound and the beer itself is a strong gold colour once the foam finally settles. Sweet, dry flavour that sits in the mouth. Would be good on a hot day.

Short lasting head on a orangey golden body. A little bit of orange in the taste, some lemon and clove (noticeable on the aroma moreso) but thats about all. Very simple but drinkable.

From a 330ml bottle on 21/5/2011. Pours a slightly opaque golden colour, with a fast disappearing head. The aromas include lemon, grass and bubblegum. The flavours are predominantly fruity, with lots of banana and lemony notes. This is a pretty good wheat beer, which is let down just a little by excessive carbonation.
