Pine and resin dominate the aroma and flavor. Reminds me of Stone IPA. Body is a little too thin and quite effervescent. Pretty good IPA.

Pours quite clear golden with a large, pillowy white head. Aroma has a huge C-hop presence, basically like picking a cascade cone off the vine, opening it up, and inhaling. That comes through in the flavor as well, along with a bit of biscuit and a medium-bitter finish. Light and drinkable, but at 7% maybe deceptively so.

Orange, with a fluffy head. Lovely citrus and pine balance on the nose, and the flavor follows. Juicy, just a bit of booze, with a sharply bitter finish. This one is really, really nice - a wonderful go-to, if distribution kicks up.

On tap at Brouwerís Cafe. Pours orangey amber with a white head - terrific spoty lacing. Aroma has sweet toffee, pine, resin. Taste is sweet caramel, resin and citrus. Some pine. A bit rough. Becomes more and more bitter throughout the glass. Finishes bitter with hints of sweet. Better than non hoppy brews, but rough.

From the can, bitch. Orange with a sticky white head. Nose is fruits, grapefruit, mango, peach, and some evident pines. Flavor is some caramels, bread sweetness, with a punchy bitterness. Really nice IPA with solid fruits.

Pours three fingers of head on a cloudy medium straw colored body. The aroma is pine and orange. Pretty nice. The taste is quite piney, a solid dry bitterness throughout. It has a good malt backbone. The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation. Itís a good IPA.

I poured a 12oz can into a goblet. There was no freshness date. My friend Jason gave this to me (thanks!).

Appearance: Hazy shade of orange. Pours to a small, white, foamy head which laces and retains well.

Smell: Plenty of hops of the piney/herbal quality, plus significant darker malt presence.

Taste: Itís been a long time since Iíve had a so-called East Coast IPA, though Iím not sure GoodLife Descender IPA counts since itís made in Oregon. It definitely has the makings of a classic IPA from the opposite coast with a strong hop presence of pine, resin and earth; but with significant malt character as well. Ironic considering the guy who gave me this can doesnít like East Coast IPAs.

As soon as the beer hits my tongue I receive a slightly spicy or herbal sensation. Slightly astringent and piney, with a strong dry bitterness throughout. There is a sweetness at the core, though. Malts of the dark amber variety as well as slight orange juice concentrate sweetness. Thereís an almost spicy sensation on the backend, though the bitterness is even stronger. A touch of alcohol imparts some rum-like character to keep it interesting and tasty. Not exactly a mind-blowing or wholly original IPA, but a satisfying one at the very least.

Drinkability: This is the type of beer that drinks exactly as an IPA should. The body isnít light, but itís not thick and sticky, either. Distinct crispness throughout with plenty of flavor as well. A mild alcohol presence, which is surprisingly considering GoodLife Descender IPA is only 7% ABV, though it may not be as robust as that number would indicate. Smooth and easy to drink and the palette is versatile to make it ideal to pair with food.

Hazy straw body with a tall white head. Moderate grainy malt character. A little doughy. Some light toasted bread. Fresh floral and grass notes. Some light sweet fruit. a bit watery and thin.

On tap. Pours a pleasant opac golden orange with a thin dense head that laces perfectly. Very nice citrus, hop nose with hints of pine and dry grass. Crisp clean dry hop attack with a slow dry finish.
