4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Reviewed 3/1/13. 22 oz bottle into a nonic pint glass.
A: Pours a hazy copper color. The head is a two finger offwhite shade with many of the usual characteristics in an IPA (okay retention, good texture, nice patchy lacing on the glass). Pretty standard IPA appearance.
S: The hops bring both a good deal of grapefruit peel/flesh, and permutes into a piny, peppery aroma after opening up some. Caramel malts provide the backbone. Very good, especially considering it seems to be a typical "crystal malt and pine hops" IPA Iím oh-so-used to on the right coast.
T: Iím really enjoying the grapefruity hops that open the palate up. As the flavor progresses, it shifts from grapefruit to bright, piny qualities on the finish and aftertaste. The malt profile helps to keep things in check without overpowering. While it doesnít really have any standout qualities to it, the finesse and refinement of the execution is what makes this a great IPA.
M: Itís thick and creamy, yet dry all at the same time. Hop resins accumulate on the palate to a very pleasant level. Thereís just something about it that gives an incredibly íbrightí feel to it.
O: Itís not particularly unique, but the execution here is top-notch. The beer of the month club I got this from has been WILDLY hit-or-miss so far (emphasis on miss), so Iím finally glad to receive a really good beer from them.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Deep gold/light copper, slightly hazy, off-white head. Nice aroma of orange-tangerine citrusy hops with a little underlying grainy malt. Flavor again features lots of citrusy hop flavor with fairly strong grassy and herbal notes. The herbal hop flavor lingers in finish.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Ventiís Downtown. Standard India Pale Ale. Pine, grapefruit and other citrus flavors up front with a sweetish caramel background. Finish has a decent bitter bite to it.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can, fairly fresh. Very standard looking IPA with a little lace and head. Aroma is very floral with a mild sweetness, dry grain, and cedar. Taste is similar to this with subdued clean bitterness and a cedar end. Feel is soft and medium bodied. A very easy and well executed IPA with just enough character.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma is floral with some herbal notes and citrus. Initial hit on the palate is some booze and herbal/medicinal notes that then fade to piney bitterness with a light bready backing and finishes long and bitter. For some reason I found this somewhat unsettling.

Very nice. hoppy! deep malts goes heavy but blends like a fine wine. The malts are perfect, the hop bill is so good. Overall great, herbal/floral/clean washy malt grain wallowing in slightly sweet amazing brew

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bomber from PD, tap at E9 and PW in the past. Slightlty hazy, gold-orange pour with a medium white bead leaving moderate lace. Nose is peaches, oranges and pine. Medium body and fine carbonation with a nice hoppy oiliness that lends a slickness. Pine, biscuit, oranges and ganja. Finish is medium length, with a continued tropical fruit sweetness and moderate hop bitterness. Hops are prominent in this one, but not at the expense of a firm malt underbody that supports and even peeks through. Love this IPA and will watch for more good things from Good Life.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Turbid amber ale with a soapy yellowed eggshell sheet. Smells of pine, resin, some mint, some other herbs. Flavor is nice and grapefruity, with sweetened lemon zest, some resin, some Vitamin C character and a slightly sweet malt backbone. Medium bodied with zippy, but lower carb and a watery finish. I like this beer. Itís like a smaller version of Ruination - which is probably my go to IPA honestly.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap @ Olafís. Pours heavily clouded pale orange with thin white head. Aroma is sweet caramel malt and a bit of floral hops. Taste is clean nutty caramel malt followed quickly by big hops: piney, citrusy, earthy, and bitter. Bitterness fades easily to clean finish. The opaque appearance and lacking aroma make are throwing me a bit, but this is still tasty.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can from 16 Tons, Eugene. Iíve also had the bottle and draft, wanted to make sure that canning wasnít taking anything away form the beer. Not indeed; this is a lovely beer. Pours a slightly cloudy golden orange, aroma is very floral. Body is medium, very lively, finish a bit on the abrupt side. Not really much bitterness, perhaps even a bit of sweetness. Very drinkable, especially for the IBUs and ABV.
