Bottle. Amber with a semi creamy off white head. Semi-tropical hops with a bitter bite, some biscuit. Moderate carbonation and bodym dry finish, becomes more tasty.

Part of a blind tasting with Earth Thirst and Alesmith IPA. Pours between yellow and orange, a two finger head. Smell is light fruity, floral and a bit grassy. Tastes like a citrus rind, with some earthy backbone. Smooth and hoppy, pretty nice ipa.

On tap at Brouwer’s Cafe. Pours orangey amber with a white head - terrific spoty lacing. Aroma has sweet toffee, pine, resin. Taste is sweet caramel, resin and citrus. Some pine. A bit rough. Becomes more and more bitter throughout the glass. Finishes bitter with hints of sweet. Better than non hoppy brews, but rough.

Pine and resin dominate the aroma and flavor. Reminds me of Stone IPA. Body is a little too thin and quite effervescent. Pretty good IPA.

In short: A dry herbal/grassy/fruity golden IPA with discreet biscuity malts. Average.
How: Bottle 22oz, consumed fresh a few weeks after purchase. Bottle sent to me by mcberko, thanks a lot Matt.
The look: Almost clear golden body topped by a medium off-white head with medium retention and leaving lots of lacings on the glass
In long: Nose is dank fruity hops with a floral component Taste has some biscuity malts with a fortune cookies flavor, lightly toasted, white grapefruits, dry green herbs, fry flower petals, sweet orange peels, dry sun dried yellowed grass, lemon zest. Sharp bitterness of medium intensity leaving with a finish that sucks the mouth dry. This is a hop-forward beer lacking depth in the malt department, dryness is more because of a lack in the malt sweetness than a high attenuation. I liked this beer because I like hoppy beers and I like dry beers¸ but objectively speaking I don’t think this is a well-made IPA. At least now I can say I’ve led a GoodLife (straight to my mouth).

Can from 16 Tons, Eugene. I’ve also had the bottle and draft, wanted to make sure that canning wasn’t taking anything away form the beer. Not indeed; this is a lovely beer. Pours a slightly cloudy golden orange, aroma is very floral. Body is medium, very lively, finish a bit on the abrupt side. Not really much bitterness, perhaps even a bit of sweetness. Very drinkable, especially for the IBUs and ABV.

Earthy citrus aromas, hazey orange, medium bitterness, rounding out to be a sweet and satisfying little IPA.

Draft at Standard in Portland, OR on 1 June 2013. Poured a slightly hazy amber with a thin, but dense white head. Aroma of floral hops, pine and tropical fruit. Grapefruit hop flavours with bready notes and some caramel sweetness. Nicely balanced bitter finish of hop resin and grains.

On tap @ Olaf’s. Pours heavily clouded pale orange with thin white head. Aroma is sweet caramel malt and a bit of floral hops. Taste is clean nutty caramel malt followed quickly by big hops: piney, citrusy, earthy, and bitter. Bitterness fades easily to clean finish. The opaque appearance and lacking aroma make are throwing me a bit, but this is still tasty.
