COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Why name a beer Sweet As? Sweet As could be the adjective to describe a fishing hole, a ski run, a sunset glowing behind a mountain or a set of legs that happen to be walking in front of you. Sweet As means “Really Good”.

Location: 12 oz can obtained through Tavour Appearance: lightly hazy. Medium golden. smaller head of medium bubbles Nose: Lighter hops over light malt. Cereal, grass and citrus. Taste: A little sweet and lightly roasted oat or wheat character. Very faint hops. Body: lighter a bit thin, but not in a bad way. Parting thoughts: a solid lighter beer

Cloudy golden color. Smooth in character, mild malt, and with a nice citrusy hopping, a bit lemony.
Pleasant.

Quite tasty, golden ale, with decent depth for the modest 6%. Drinks like an IPA. Pine resin finish. Very drinkable. Evening poolside beer.

Can. Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (caramel), lightly hoppy (apricot), with a strong note of diacetyl, other notes of plastic and taffy. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, unclean/buttery. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Massive diacetyl makes this completely undrinkable, almost nothing but butter. And from Bend of all places, for shame!

I ordered this blind from the tap handle, assuming I would getting Descender IPA. While not disappointing, I was taken aback at how light and smooth it was, very silky in texture. Grains/malt feature here, no hops to speak of. Blend of a wheat ale, Golden’s and minor lager characteristics. A nice diversion...
