doubelknv3 (489), Illinois, USA Aug 10, 2007 Tasting notes from 2002 Harbury beer festival. Copper-amber with thin head. Notes of fruit, malt, and carmel aromas. Carmel malts, dry fruit and hop finish. Lasting bitter finish. hughie (2286), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Oct 6, 2006 Cask at Bedford BF ’06. Amber, no head. Malt aroma and taste. Sweet and easy drinking. Low bitterness. Not a stand out. Nekronos (1949), Xalapa, Mexico Jul 8, 2006 Veyr bitte,r but nice brew, the fom takes a while to settle which is nice. The colour is golden. harrisoni (5359), Ashford, Kent, England Jun 8, 2006 Cask handpull at Market Porter. Deep copper colour with thin beige head. I really just don’t like these earthy caramel dominated bitters. The caramel dominates too much and it is just not to my taste. Nothing wrong with it at all, but not my style of bitter. leaparsons (4001), Leicester, Leicestershire, England May 29, 2006 Cask, Rugby Fest 06. Amber/brown with a small head. Aromas are lots of sweet toffee with cookies, dough and earthy hops. Flavours are sweet malty toffee and caramel with come citrus. Earthy, dry and spicy hops towards the finish. Quite flavoursome.
