Enjoyed on tap at Goose Island Wrigleyville while hanging out with friends before seeing the Afghan Whigs. Appearance is a dark gold with a thin white head. Aroma of grapefruit and light citrus. Taste pretty bitter, grapefruit, not bad. I remember this being pretty decent but nothing groundbreaking, standard bitter IPA.

On tap at the Clyborn location. Pours a clear light copper with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a nice combo of jasmine and grapefruit hops with a light grain and hay backing. Flavor has more bitter grapefruit with a more reserved jaime note and a light grain backing.

Draft at gi cly. Prob should have had the q prior to this but I digress... Pours a tad brighter copper hue, particularly more hazy and topped wit a creamy milk white head... Sweet citrus and earthY bitterness and more heavily malted that the firmer with caramel malts defintely equalizing the hop profile it seems... Flavors follow the same wavelength with semi-sweet citru. And an herbal earthy bitterness to follow. Shy of medium bodied. Little too malty for my taste.

Flight pour on tap at the Clybourn Brewpub (Chicago, IL). Pours a depper glowing amber orange hue, a bit dulled and depper hued. Big cakey whitish head is thicker, stays larger and laces well. Good look overall. Aromas are fairly deep citrus element, lemons and oranges give the power. Touches of richer oranges, tropical fruit, florals and touches of biscuit, toast and bready pale malts. Initial offers a more mellow lighter end. Lots of oranges, fruit, and some dank earthy bitter hops. Florals, weeds, moderate bittereness and a touch thin overall. Touches of earth, toast, pale malts. Earthy bitter hops, backend offers a touch of thinness, bitter and grass and florals. Pretty enjoyable, drinkable with an American almost hop slant up front that tapers into the more English feel into the back. Fairly fresh, lively. Aroma is really nice here.

Draft at Clybourn. Pours a quite clear deep gold, sticky white head. Nose is a touch worty/malty. Grassy and herbal hops, floral and minty hops. Pretty clean fermentation. On tasting, quite dry, medium bitterness, some husky grainy notes, light astringency. Pretty solid and clean, grassy finish. Nice change of pace really.
