Brewed as a collaboration between Goose Island Brewmaster Brett Porter, Senior Brewer Keith Gabbett, Pub Brewmaster Nick Barron and Alumni Brewmaster Greg Hall. Deep mahogany color, rich fruit aroma with notes of lilac, big malt body with touches of roast and a dry, crisp finish.

12 oz. bottle from Total Wine (Park Place) - Pours a clear deep copper color with a one and a half finger thick off white head. Light to medium carbonation with nice layered lacing. Aroma is light fruity esters and caramel malt. Flavor is slightly bitter malt and light herbal hops. The malt flavors lingers a tad in the finish. Medium to full body. A nice beer.

Slightly hazy copper color, decent head with good lacing and retention. Aroma is floral, spicy, lightly fruity, some caramel. Medium bodied, quite drinkable. Not sure why this was chosen as a 25th anniversary beer.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Total Wine Sterling. It pours a nice, ruddy color with a slight haze. Solid, rocky head of off white foam. Nice retention. The nose has a rich, malty aroma. Nice notes of bread with slight perfumed citrus. Full flavored without being thick or cloying. Nice caramel, toasted malt, and bready notes with a little citrus bitterness on the back end. Very solid for the style and very enjoyable to drink. Recommended.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 5/10/2013. Pours slightly hazy orange copper color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense cream colored head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of caramel, orange, grapefruit, toast, bread, floral, grass, light pine, light nuttiness, and light yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of malt and hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of caramel, toast, biscuit, orange, grapefruit, apple, brown sugar, floral, grass, light nuttiness, and light yeast earthiness. Minimal earthy floral bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toast, biscuit, citrus, apple, brown sugar, floral, and light nuttiness on the finish for a bit. Very nice clean and balanced taste of malt, hop, and fruity flavors; with good robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied; with a slightly creamy, smooth, and lightly crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very nice ESB style! All around nice balance of malt and hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Dark mahogany pour with a tightly packed caramel head. Quite rich and syrupy for the style. Caramel, toffee, molasses, candied dark fruit, sugar-coated prunes, cocoa-dipped raisins. Nice sticky body that clings to the palate. Pretty solid offering!
