Nicely done. Hops, malt and sweetness all co-exist very well. The sweetness in question was hard to pin down, sort of tasted a little like raspberries but was certainly subtle enough to add a little extra something to an already drinkable beer. Iíd have this again, at the right price.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle
A run of the mill ESB could pass muster at a pub in England. Otherwise it isnít anything particularly special. This is one of those beers that has enough flavor to be interesting but after a while fades into the background.
Aroma / Appearance - The carbonated bronze base supports a foamy head of eggshells. Peppery malts, brown tea, and mild noble hops are soothing. This is pretty average for the style overall.
Flavor / Palate - Honey, almonds, crushed walnuts, and a dash of white pepper throw off the palate for the first few sips. This is slightly atypical until it is about halfway gone. At that point it becomes more of an average ESB. At 6.4% it is not exactly sessionable but it would not be hard to drink a few. That said I am glad I only had the single bottle in the fridge.

It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Lots of caramel and earthy hops in the taste. Some peppery notes. Head is average size, frothy, light beige with good lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is slightly hazy copper. Flavor starts lightly sweet and acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and lightly to moderately bitter. Palate is medium, slick, with a soft to lively carbonation. A nice Premium Bitter and a great drinking beer. I could drink quite a few of these.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice caramel malty aroma. The flavor has some floral notes to it and a bit of fruit. Earthy with a hint of wood and smoke. Finishes quite dry. I keep wanting to dislike this brewer solely for the InBev connection but they keep turning out quality stuff.
