Like the digits suggest, itís a beer thatís densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We donít filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. Thatís how you know itís unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. Itís not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that youíd expect.

Schenkt een geel goud troebel bier met weinig witte schuim. Ruikt graan, honing achtig en mout. Smaakt redelijk dun, mout en graan. Waterig.

(Goose Island 312 Urban Wheat Ale) Bottle 355 ml at home, served into a tulip, ABV 4.2% Golden yellow colour on the body, a bit cloudy but not really hazy, small and thin white head on top, with average retention, leaving light lacing behind. Faint aroma, some wheat and traces of hops. Taste has malts, straw, light citrus. Medium thin body, carbonation towards the high side. Nothing special but it drinks good. Better local options out there though.

Countbeer (5316) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - MAR 18, 2015
Bottle (35,5cl): Served in a Chouffe glass at 13 degrees Celsius: Hazy yellow. Light white head. Aromas and flavours are quite alike: of wheat, corn, dust, hint of some fruit like banana, some malts, hints of card board, hay and yeast... Aftertaste is wheat, cardboard, bitter, light fruit, corn and some yeast... Low to medium carbo, light watery light creamy tingly mouthfeel, low to medium bodied. Meh...

12 oz bottle, 4 oz pour, for BJCP study group, into tasting glass

Aroma: Grainy, doughy, wheaty, low flora and spicy hops with some sweetness from malts, moderate esters

Appearance: Pale yellow with slight haze, white minimal head, not very well retained

Taste: Wheat lingers into finish, low hop bitteress with some American or citrus hops, crisp finish

Mouthfeel: medium body, good carbonation, soft profile

Overall: Very wheaty, doughy flavor, some hop bitterness but not too much. Good wheat beer, but ultimately unsatisfying.
