COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like the digits suggest, itís a beer thatís densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We donít filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. Thatís how you know itís unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. Itís not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that youíd expect.

355 ml bottle. From MalmŲ, Sweden.
Hazy pale golden colour with small white head. Fruity hoppy wheaty aroma with some sweetness, cereal and hints of rubber. Flavour is fruity hoppy with malty sweetness. Easy but decent Wheat Ale. Smooth.

12 ounce bottle in Hoegaarden tumbler. Hazy pale yellow with white head and lace. Cereal wheat tangy and citrus aroma. Fruity peach cereal and wheat tang with mildly bitter finish. Not horrible. Iím not sure what the purpose of this style is. Hence, Bud Golden Wheat.

OleR (4804) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 30, 2010
0.355L bottle from Systembolaget. Two fingers of dense white head, over a misty, gold/straw colored body. Modest, clean and dry aroma. Lemony fruitiness and crisp wheaty malts. Semi-dry, citrus-fruity flavor. Subdued dry maltiness. No hops detected. Not very filling. Lively on the mouth. Dry/sweet fizzy fruit ending. Good quenching abilities, but lack some body and attitude.

Bottle - Pale yellow pour with a nice bubbly white head. Decent grassy hops on the nose, with bubble gum, sweet wheat, and a hint of chocolate. Taste is a bit bigger and grainier than I expected. Thought itíd be sweeter, but the barley malt really comes out and dominates the taste through a long finish. Slightly spicy hops with a mineral water taste in the background. Tastes a bit odd, but it goes down easy.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden. Aroma is a bit weak, not picking up anything super distinct. Flavor has hints of citrusy fruits, tiny bit bitter, with a nice amount of wheat and yeast, and it pretty fully bodies for a lighter beer. A pretty well balanced brew that is pleasing to the palate. A good summer beer.

Sampled on 4/16/2010. This wheat ale pours a slightly hazy orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is citrusy, cereal and spicy. A medium to light bodied wheat ale. The malts are fruity and cereal. The hops are slightly spicy. A light citrus flavor dominates throughout. There is a touch of hops at the finish as well. Lively carbonation. Light and refreshing taste. Nice summer wheat beer. Good session ale. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
