COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like the digits suggest, itís a beer thatís densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We donít filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. Thatís how you know itís unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. Itís not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that youíd expect.

Bottle. Pours a straw semi-hazy color. White head with low retention and lacing. Aroma of wheat, mild citrus and watermelon. The taste is very similar with a dry finish. Iím a bit confused as this is supposed to be unfiltered but is actually quite bright. A very drinkable brew, almost session like.

Light wheat beer. Fairly hazy, slightly hoppy. Medium head disappears quickly.

Pretty weak overall with a watery taste. Average palate with a wheat/citrus feel. Head was virtually non-existent.

An average American wheat ale. Watery tasting with an average palate. I need to try this again as Iíve recently become more interested in wheat ales and some of the Goose Island Iíve had over the past 6 months has actually been pretty good.

On tap, poured into a iced glass, with 2 large lemons by a goofy blonde barmaid. Drank the 1st down, then asked for one in a non-chilled glass, no fruit. 2 finger head, fades fast. Aroma: not much. Taste: Disappoining. VERY light, some corn, some light citrus. Not much going on there. Easy to drink, I may try it again as the weather gets warm. Actually would rather have a Budweiser, than this.

Pours a straw color with a small, frothy head. Aromas are bready with some sour mash notes underneath. Flavor is about the same. Tastes the same as it smells.

UPDATED: JAN 26, 2008 decent wheat beer by Goose Island. lemon flavor and bitter. Semi-cloudy and kind of generic compared to other goose island beers. not that impressed

Never been a fan of the style, they always taste amd smell like sweat to me. Not too bad, and more than once it has been the best option at a 7-11 or dive bar. Local pride is the main reason to drink this. I prefer the barley when I am drinking lighter stuff.

Bottle. Pours very light hazy yellow with a small white head. Very pale color. Aroma is that normal American Wheat aroma - wheat, grains, flour, a little bit of rice or something. A tiny bit of tartness or citrus comes out in the aroma but not much. Taste is very watery, smooth, a little grainy with a non-existant finish. Very light beer here. While this is not a category of beers I like very much this one does not stand out at all.

Pale straw with a short living, white foam. Very bland, unappealing and boring.
