Like the digits suggest, itís a beer thatís densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We donít filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. Thatís how you know itís unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. Itís not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that youíd expect.

Good for an American wheat. Light wheat aroma and light wheat taste. There is pleasant citrus, and it is a little sweet. I would prefer a hefe, but this lighter beer with the citrus is an ok substitute.

Just a bad beer. Weak nose and palate and flavor. Weak, bland, dull on all fronts. Very forgettable.

Very disappointed in this GI offering. Aroma and taste were very bland. Not much to offer here.

Hereís a lemony snicket tart and tangy wheat beer. Nice looking - hazy pale golden, very good head and lacing. Aroma has some clove to itís sweetness. Very refreshing flavor, easty to drink.

On tap at brewery. Aroma leaning more towards a mild ale with lemon accents. Taste is sour, yeasty and lemon-lime. Sharp and acidic, with some pine elements. Thin, but smooth. Too much yeast, carbonation and hops, but where are the malts? Crisp, clean and sour finish. Overall, not very good - like a pale lager with extra yeast and lemon juice.

Had this one bottled. Somewhat cloudy dark yellow color, thick head, nose of hops and bread, clean tastes of grapefruit, very, very good wheat beer.

On tap at Old Chicago, Rockford. Gold, slightly hazy with a large white head. Rather mellow aroma, some wheat, banana and juniper berry. Clean, and very straight-forward. Light bodied and a touch watery. Honestly, a tad disappointing.

Not too bad at all. While the American Wheat pales next to the Belgian Wit or German Weisen this is a nice example of the domestic style. The 312 is the Chicago area code. The inhearent problem of this style is that it has too strong of a hop-grapefruit taste. This is a good beer though

On draught at clybourn. Hazy yellow with a thin white head that diminishes fast. Aroma is honey, lemon, and wheat. I was caught off guard by a hop presence to start the beer. Fizzy in the mouth with a sligh lemon taste. Not a big fan of American Wheats, but this is one of the better ones in this style.

UPDATED: JUN 6, 2006 weak in flavor. not a pleasant after taste. I think this is the only Goose Island I have never not been happy with.
