Like the digits suggest, itís a beer thatís densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We donít filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. Thatís how you know itís unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. Itís not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that youíd expect.

(Tap) Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small amount of white head. Smooth flavor, with mild citrus notes and a little bit of wheat mixed in. Light in mouthfeel and charactor. Overall, not a bad beer, but not as good as I expected.

Nice deep golden color. Nose of cookies and grain. Light citrus. Moderate dough and soap. Very light hints of banana and honey. Not bad but not good. Decent wheat beer but I think Boulevard does it better.

Starts nicely if you let it sit for about 3 seconds, but I agree that it feels somewhat lacking in body as if it were watered-down.

Pours a bright white cloudy head with a characteristic wheat body. Aroma is somewhat odd...not necessarily pleasant, but not really bad either. Nice on the palate with a nice, smooth finish, but the flavor is somewhat lacking, with an empty feel to the brew. A light fruity flavor, particularly lemony, is evident, but overall, this beer was hollow and lacked any distinguishable trait...somewhat of a disappointment

Bottle at Pier 32 in Hamilton, IN. Marked best when consumed by 022107. Poured a very small off-white head that quickly dissipated, sparse lacing, visible carbonation, slightly cloudy, and a yellow hue. Nose was sweet, wheat, spicy, hops, fruity, and crisp. Flavor was sweet, thin, wheat, spicy, some maltiness, and a little bit fruity. Fairly smooth mouthfeel and a bit thin. Light body. A so-so brew.

How about 411, have you seen a flavorful wheat beer? Not here. I suppose the "urban" quality just ran over any of the farmhouse feel to this style but this was just aweful. Never been a fan of GI but this was just bad.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy pale golden color. Smallish white head that settles. Aroma is wheat, lemon, straw, floral. Taste is lemon, wheat, spice, floral. Palate is light with decent carbonation. Mediocre.

This was on-tap at the last hotel I stayed at when visiting Chicago. Appearance was an odd semi-transparent appearance. It was only a bit cloudy and still transparent. Usually, it seems beer commits to either being cloudy or clear and sparkling. This one seems to straddle that line, which is not extremely endearing. The beer came with an orange garnish, which seemed to dissipate the head. Odor was mild and slightly sweet, possibly due to the orange slice. I discarded the orange garnish, but the beer still tasted sweet with an artificial citrus sweetness reminsicent of Blue Moon Belgian White Ale. It seemed almost like the orange slice was meant to explain this chemical artificiality, although my orange slice never got close to my beer. Other than this unpleasant citrus astringency, the beer was OK. I donít plan on having this again. Honkerís Ale and the Christmas beer from Goose Island are much, much better.

UPDATED: DEC 10, 2006 Draught from The Pub poured into shaker with a lemon garnish - Pours clear gold with a very minimal head; Lemon and wheat to the nose; Lemon, wheat and a hint of pine hops on the initial taste; A bland wheat backtaste; Medium watery palate; Too much carbonation; Not impressed. Goose Island is normally spot on with their brews, but this one leaves a good bit to be desired. Lots of the lemon probably came from the garnish.

Hazy in appearance. Not much of a head at all. A little light for a wheat. Easy drinking, though, with hints of banannas and mild spices.
