Like the digits suggest, it’s a beer that’s densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We don’t filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. That’s how you know it’s unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. It’s not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that you’d expect.

Pint. Gold with small white head. Smells of citrus and off grain. Light in body and flavor. Watery for a wheat beer. Used to love this beer, but pretty convinced it’s been changed, and just doesn’t have the flavor and body I used to like.

From bottle poured into pint glass. Purchased in Denver. Unique citrusy sour mixed with a hefeweizen. Definitely a unique flavor for a wheat. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap. Appearance: 2 fingers white head, amber gold color, good lacing, clear. Aroma: wheat, light caramel, light floral light roast wheat. Palate: light body, light bitter finish, average carbonation, thin texture. Taste: sweet malt and wheat into light bitter. Overall, too wheaty, but drinkable. Something to be drank on a hot day in quantity.

Maybe my favorite summer beer. Not nearly as sweet as oberon. Better on draft. .....

Eh nothing to see here. A rather unassuming beer. Bordering way more on the pilsner spectrum with a light toasty grain aspect than it is on the hefe or wheat spectrum. Little bit of of lemon aroma but struggling to find much past that.

TPSA. Pours a pale gold with a hint of amber and a light head. Nose has a hint of clove, but is mostly yeasty bready notes. It’s quite clean, but very mild; it has no tropical fruit, but a decent amount of spice and toasted grain. The finish is short, though the mouthfeel is nice and round. It’s a nice entry level wheat, but I wouldn’t call it ’densely populated with flavor’; it’s rather mild, actually.

Goose island 312 Urban Wheat ale. This beer is a golden hazy straw yellow brew with a very slight white head made up of small bubbles. The nose is faint of wheat, malted grains and just a slight amount of hops. The body is fluid and slightly lively. The taste is a good deal more malt than you usually find in wheat beers with the typical wheat character of mild good sour almost completely absent. A decent beer for typical drinking. about one step up from a run of the mill macro lager.
