Like the digits suggest, it’s a beer that’s densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We don’t filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. That’s how you know it’s unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. It’s not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that you’d expect.

pours slightly hazy pale yellow with a small white cap, little retention and lacing. pils malts, faint wheat, honey, sweet corn, some spices, few fruity phenolic esters, slightly lemony and coconuty. moderate carboantion, light body - slightly watery, relatively bland spicy-herbal-grassy finish. inoffensive but meh.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a slightly hazy straw yellow colored body with a small white head that tans at the edges and then the whole thing dissipates within a couple seconds. There is some light foamy lacing around the sides of the glass. It leaves no rings. The smell had some wheat, malts and some lemon. The taste had some wheat and malts with the lemon coming back ever so slightly. Some toasted grains come in very faint. On the palate, she sits fairly light with a moderate carbonation. This is very easy to drink. Overall, this is a pretty good brew that would make me want to come back and get it again.

Nice gold color. Aroma and taste is citrusy, with somewhat breadiness and floral. Good beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle pour. Strong citrus aroma. High carb with a lot of lemon and orange peel flavor. Slow developing wheat finish. Nice, light beer.

Keg at The Banshee. Hazy golden with a half inch head that dissipates to a thin but lasting foam. Light lacing. Pretty nice looking pint. Aroma is poor, with mostly grapey cellar must and light lemony and grassy notes. Taste has a balance of light lemony bitterness, light-medium wheat flavor and a very light sour note. Lingering what aftertaste on a lively carbonated light-medium body. Not a great beer, but barring the aroma, fine and drinkable.

From 12oz bottle. Unfiltered, yellowish tea-like color in glass. Small, white head of large, uneven bubbles. Dissipates quickly. Aroma is faint (if I was being charitable, I would say understated) lemon and pilsner yeast. Taste is equally thin. Some general hopy bitterness. Trace of citrus. Very little wheat in the flavor, but because I was primed to expect it, I can, I guess, pick up on traces of the titular flavor. Not bad out of bottle or on a summer day when your expectations are low.

Tap at O’Hare. bright yellow with a tall, fine head. Slightly cloudy, effervescent. Nose of creamy wheat, lemon, a bit of butter, biscuits. Full malt flavor, very biscuity and enjoyable.
