COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like the digits suggest, itís a beer thatís densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We donít filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. Thatís how you know itís unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. Itís not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that youíd expect.

So what makes this Urban, I dont know? Pours a cloudy yellow with a slight layers of white head. Aroma is lemon bread, pleasant. Tastes like it smells, wheat, yeast, and lemon are noted. Light body and slick. Not bad when you are in the mood for something on the mellow side of the scale.

On tap at Chigaco Midway airport. Consumed two, served in frosty pint glasses, around 12pm. Aroma was barely noticable, but some hops and graininess present. Had a light yellow color but strangely hazy appearance. The flavors were more like a rather intense pilsner or helles, not anything too reminiscent of wheat. I enjoyed this beer thoroughly, I was surprised by how much flavor and delicate bready graininess it possessed. I ordered this one because it was the only "local brew" on the menu. Thatís what the servers told me anyway. It was pretty dang good, I wish I could get my hands on it, Iíd like to get a few six packs to work on...

Very cloudy - too cloudy. Too yeasty - covered up the wheat flavor. A little spice and citrus.

Hazy golden pour. Light aroma with hints of tangerine. A bit fizzy on the palate, with flavors of melon, orange, and yeast. A bit light on character, but arenít most non-Gumballhead American wheats? Certainly drinkable.

Slightly hazy yellow brew with the smell of lemon. Other than the lemon zest there doesnít seem to be much else going for this one. Pretty boring brew with nothing really making me want to purchase more. Glad I got a sampler bottle rather than a whole six pack.

This one sort of disappointed me after enjoying the 5 new Wheat series from Goose Island. 312 was way, way too light and lifeless. If I tried very hard, I could deciphor a hint of the wheat beer flavor and spice, but it just fell short in terms of body and flavor. The Bud Lite of Wheat beers.

Very light aroma of malt and some yeast. Taste is dissapointing, there should be more of everything here. Itís taste like a mixture of a industrial lager mixed with 1/3 of a wheat beer. Goose Island usually make better beer.

UPDATED: OCT 31, 2007 Pours pale and hazy with a frothy head. The aroma is mild with a citric character. Boring and unsubstantial. Thin body.
