COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like the digits suggest, itís a beer thatís densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We donít filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. Thatís how you know itís unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. Itís not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that youíd expect.

12oz bottle. light lemony yellow color has a slight haze. bright white frothy head. yeasty citric aroma smells clean. toasty grains play a part as well as mild bubblegum. a soft grainy easy drinking wheat ale. some fruit bubblegum and dry crusty finish are also present.

Goose Island 312 is a cloudy, light amber color with a lighter body than a standard wheat ale. Low bitterness, a smooth finish and a nice citrus aftertaste make this a refreshing beer.

I saw this brew on tap at the Fox & Hound chain restaurant in Schaumburg last night, and decided to check it out. It had a slightly darker yellow color, and a quickly dissipating white creamy head. The taste had a short burst of spice, followed by a lot of wheat protein and "graininess". The finish was a dirty/slightly grassy hops kind of thing. It would be a thirst quencher on a hot day, but something you might get tired of real fast.

On tap 7/14 @ the Wrigleyville Brewpub: Pours a cloudy yellow with a white foamy head. Aroma is yeasty with hints of lemon, banana, and spices. Flavor is initially sweet with a grainy finish. A nice summer brew!

Pours a hazy Budweiser yellow with a white head. Nose is citrus. Body is light. Palate is wheat with hops and a lingering bitter aftertaste.

citrusy and fruity with a decent body. it is actually very drinkable and crisp, but it lacks character. a good summer/session brew for those lacking a bit of imagination or motivation.

Beer pours a slightly cloudy golden color. Looks to have decent carbonation and pours a decent one and a half finger head. The aroma is light citrus, lemony, a bit grassy. There are notes of wheat as well. The initial taste is a nice pop of carbonation followed by that lemon note which moves across the entire palate. In the middle there is definitely a bitter hop astringency which moves into a nice citrus wheatiness. The beer finishes with a hint of wheat and then some more slight bitterness.

Bought at Krogers on Broadway in North Knoxville. Cloudy yellow. Medium white head. Aroma: Citris, malts, perfume. Flavor: Wheat, orangees, malt. Mellow finish. Not a bad beer, very drinkable but nothing impressive. My limited taste for the Goose has done better. Really, my Scruffy Little City of Knoxville can do better than the Windy City.

Slightly hazy straw color with a wispy white head. Bready malt aroma and big spicy and citrus hop aroma. Light-bodied, creamy mouthful, lifted off the tongue with medium carbonation. Lightly sweet with malt, a touch of hop flavor, finishing dry and enough bitterness to balance. A superb wheat ale. Crisp and refreshing. Perfect for summer.
