COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like the digits suggest, itís a beer thatís densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We donít filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. Thatís how you know itís unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. Itís not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that youíd expect.

Just like the commercial description says. Very light and refreshing. Light fruity aroma, cloudy golden, pour fluffy head. Malty toward bready, as expected. Perhaps the most agreeable wheat beer I have had to date.

UPDATED: DEC 10, 2006 Draught from The Pub poured into shaker with a lemon garnish - Pours clear gold with a very minimal head; Lemon and wheat to the nose; Lemon, wheat and a hint of pine hops on the initial taste; A bland wheat backtaste; Medium watery palate; Too much carbonation; Not impressed. Goose Island is normally spot on with their brews, but this one leaves a good bit to be desired. Lots of the lemon probably came from the garnish.

Had this beer for breakfast after a long drinking session. Pours a cloudy light golden yellow with a thin flimsy head that quickly dissipates to a film. Aroma is a little funky... hay, grass, basement aromas, cooked vegetables, light smell of rotten eggs. Taste balance sweet and sour gives way to bitterness and eventually salt. Palate should really be more like a 3.5: light body, creamy, lively, with a lingering bitter finish. Would not buy again.

Perhaps the nose disappeared into a black hole because Iím getting a whole lot of...nothingness. Wheat and citrus whispers in the dark. Pour is reminiscent of mass-produced lager. Very thin and soft palate, taste doesnít offer a lot more than nose. Unimaginative. I guess it would be a perfectable sessionable beer to a gun-toting-pabst-blue-ribbon kind a guy. Other than that itís likely destination is the drain.

On tap at the Corner Pub. Appearance - Hazy golden color. Generous foamy white head. Good retention. Decent lacing. Aroma - Not much on the nose. Just some wheat and grass. Taste - Clean wheat flavor. Some lemony zest and light grassy hops add a touch of bitterness. Mouthfeel - Clean & crisp. Dry. Soft carbonation. Overall - Itís enjoyable. Iíd have it again if I were in the mood for a simple wheat beer.

Very clean, crisp with a watery feel. Hint of citrus hops. Very light and refreshing. Good for a summer day.

22 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a white head that dissipates quickly. Thin aroma, faint yeast. Thin body, average wheat taste. Overall, not a bad beer, good for a hot day, but there are better ones out there.

On tap. Tastes slightly spicey, a little like coriander, yeasty, and a sligfht touch of citrus. Some lacing on the glass, pours a clear yellow. One of the better wheat beers I’ve had from the United States.

Massive head, and a bold yellow appearance. Wonderful aroma, almost apricot-like, very much wheat. Iím a little underwhelmed by the flavor, but itís still good; itís a wheat beer thatís smooth, for the most part. Perhaps I poured it improperly resulting in the large head that made it a little difficult to drink. Either way, I will very likely try this beer again sometime, and Iíd recommend it to others too!

Poured a golden blonde with large white head. Aroma was grainy, hoppy with some citrus. Flavor mildly sweet with fruit and crisp hoppy bite. Medium light body. Refreshing drink on a hot day.
