2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Somewhere between a pale ale and wheat bear. Light, fragrant citrusy. Nice and refreshing from time to time but lacks "punch"; a bit watery. Iíd almost certainly give it another go given the opportunity - thereís something there - just probably wouldnít go too far out of my way to do so.

Colour is a bit anaemic, with a rather insipid froth to the head. The typical range of spicy/citrusy flavours with a quite clear, tart finish. Nothing special but certainly pleasurable.

UPDATED: JUN 1, 2013 From bottle. Aroma of yeast, grass, citrus. Crisp, light, slightly but pleasantly bitter. Light hop flavor. Taste hints of citrus. Lively carbonation but not overly so. Went really well with salad. Glad I tried this. We definitely reach for this on a summerís day.

Letís see... Urban Wheat. Maybe they meant Urban as in a college town. This is a pong-able beer and that is not a good thing. Cloudy golden pour. Thick sudsy white head that doesnít go away. Tons of carbonation. Bread-like near the end. Bad news, overall.

Nice beer, very drinkable. Was a little too clear for a wheat beer, would have preferred more cloudiness. Also, and maybe because of the clarity, the color was a bit off. A little more orange and less yellow would be preferable. Very drinkable, and much more enjoyable than domestic light beers, regardless of what anybody says in these posts. Seems this beer is an answer to Bellís Oberon and/or Winter Wheat. From what I understand, Bellís doesnít allow (or restricts...and maybe this has all changed since I read the article) distribution into Chicago because the distributors there tend to corrupt the beer. Not a place for a plug for Bells I admit, but I respect the brewers at Bells for caring about the quality of their beer all the way to the consumer. This beer, different enough from the Bells offerings, gives the good people of Chicago a nice alternative.

This wheat bier will not disappoint you at all. Top it with an orange slice, and it will take you to the Windy City (Chicago is!). Somehow, I prefer Chicago girls over New York lassies.

Poured a golden hazy light color with little head. Aroma was fairly minimal. Overall a nice, easy drinking beer.

[Tap] An entirely delicious beer. Cloudy yellow pour, tastes of deliciousness and light orange with hops and yeast. Mild head that hung around for a while. Very very good.

I usually like a lot of Goose Islandís products, such as their Hex Nut and their IPA. Not this though. terrible. Tastes like water. I literally think there are el cheapo domestics that are better than this.
