COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like the digits suggest, it’s a beer that’s densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We don’t filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. That’s how you know it’s unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. It’s not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that you’d expect.

12 ounce bottle from thetomG in Secret Santa Winter 10. Thanks! Pours a hazy pale yellow color with a large creamy white head. Good head retention and sticky lacing. Aroma of bread, citrus, stone fruits and a bitter finish. The taste is bitter citrus notes, some tropical notes as well, wheat, bread, an almost crackery note. Nutty finish. Thin-medium bodied. Solidly made and would probably be very nice to session during the summer.

Bottle. Hazy gold and yellow with a medium head. Aromas are pineapple with caramel and wheat. Lemon with yeast and soft spices. Flavours are sweet tropical fruit with gentle lemon bitterness. Has a nice spritzy, yeasty palate. Decent.

Theydon_Bois (7935) - The ’Sham, Surrey, ENGLAND - AUG 26, 2012
Bottle at home - Apr ’12. Hazy golden pour with a thin white head. Little aroma to this beer, faint wheat and grain, a little pale malt. Taste follows on from the nose with a little citrus and grassiness in there. Light to medium in body and perhaps a little over carbonated. No need to re-visit!

Smell of LME and light melon fruitiness. Bland and slightly bready flavor. Some light lemon is all I get. Clear yellow and fizzy.

Two 355ml bottles, 4.4% abv, bought at an ICA store in Tromsø and shared with friends. Filmy layer, spotty lacing, unclear golden body. Fresh fruity wheat to the nose. Fresh citrus fruits in flavour along with wheat and lighter notes of spices. Soft bittersweet ending. Refreshing (Sommarøy, 25.06.2011).

Bottle from Secret Santa. Pours hazy gold/dark straw with 2-finger off-white head. Aroma of bready malt, some hopcitrus, and some spicy florals. Medium palate density, with flavors of pale bready malts, heavy hopcitrus and some fruit, and floral spiciness with black pepper.

2013-12-14. Crisp yellow body tiny white head. Aroma of grainy cereal malt, sweet corn like notes. Flavour is mild, lightly bitter throughout. Average to light bodied palate, soft carbonation. Decent take on what they were going for but a bit dull overall. Bottle sample at Abraxas, Miami

Thanks to Darkover for the trade. Apparently wheat doesn’t grow too well in urban areas. Hazy yellow-gold color with a thin white head and scant lacing. The aroma is faintly wheaty with a touch of malt. Light-bodied with a slick mouthfeel. Tastes like a cross between a Wheat and an Adjunct Lager. Mild wheat, hops and corn are the prevalent flavors. The finish is crisp and lightly hoppy and fruity. Not bad really, it just doesn’t need to be this bland.

chriso (7347) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 22, 2009
Draught at the White Horse American Beer Festival, July 2009. Pale gold. Maybe a hint of yeast but not really very much going on. Easygoing and straightforward with no great character. Sweetish. May have shown better on its own rather than surrounded by a bunch of much bigger US beers. Not really a very inspired choice to bring over for a US festival but I guess they needed something for the normal Sloaney Pony punters.

Bottle. Light sweet apple, banana and wheat aroma. Hazy orange-yellow color with small head. Lemon wheat flavor. Nothing special - an average Am wheat.
