COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like the digits suggest, it’s a beer that’s densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We don’t filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. That’s how you know it’s unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. It’s not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that you’d expect.

pours clear golden color, well carbonated. not much taste, some sweet yeastiness, cirtus, mild hop finish. easy to drink, but boring.

Rating #48 for 2012 12oz bottle cold, from a stem glass. Aroma musky, gum, some citrus. Hazy yellow almost no head. Taste of lemon zest, slightly sour finish. Palate was clean, high carbonation but still finished smooth.

Grainy wheat nose, a little soapy. Hazy yellow, thin head. Grainy lemony wheat, finishes with unbuttered popcorn. No diacetyl, but corny. Not the best example of the style, but I like it.

Pours yellow gold with thick white head and lacing. Aromas of grain and hints of lemon. A little grainy little wheaty, some hints of lemon. Easy drinker, great for 80 degree days like today.

Tap. Pale clear yellow with dissipating white head. Smells faintly of honey and gives me the impression of pears. Flavor reminds me of Cap’n Crunch cereal. Light bodied.

Smells like fresh cut lemons and wheat. Looks like a lemon too, or at least a neon sign of one anyways. Long, sweet taste that gets bitter but never dry. Light body for easy summer drinking. Not the best of wheat beers.

Pours a hazy yellow with about a finger of white head. Aroma of citrus and wheat. Taste is light sweet. Lots of wheat and a little lemon citrus. Medium bodied with a thin yet sticky texture. Fizzy carbonation and a somewhat longish finish. Overall, not bad. I’d take it over a "lite" beer any day though.

This might be the exact Wheat Ale that Goose Island was hoping for. Something that would appeal to the widest consumer base possible. For those of us that appreciate beers that are out of the box a little, or give us a new experience, this one is not it. Bland bubblegum and grain flavor, palate cleanses the palate to an almost sterile environment.

Poured into a shaker glass from a 12 ounce bottle bottled on 4-24-2012.

A: Clear yet hazy pale yellow body with a decent sized white, sort of soapy looking, head. Lots of lazy carbonation bubbles float to the top. This looks decent.

S: Mild citrus in the aroma, sort of a bit like urine actually. Thankfully the aroma is very faint. Not a fan.

T: This is pretty meh. Slight lemon tart with mild spice, this is just boring.

M: This feels pretty dead on the tongue, carbonation hits at the end lazily.

O: Not excited about this at all, bland and boring.

hazy golden, two finger head. slight hops and lots of wheaty goodness. nicely balanced. solid, but unexciting.
