A pretty unpleasant attempt at American Wheat. LIghtly clouded yellow color, fair head. Aroma lemony, very slightly floral. Flavor also lemony, a rising of too much hops in the finish. Some vaguely minty wheat malt, but mainly a weird bitter cooked zucchini-asparagus bread-dough character.

An average American wheat ale. Watery tasting with an average palate. I need to try this again as I’ve recently become more interested in wheat ales and some of the Goose Island I’ve had over the past 6 months has actually been pretty good.

Very weak aroma, hazy dark yellow with a very small head. The appearance is not cloudy enough for a wheat ale in my opinion, and the body and finish are weak.
2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 bbrock81 (291) - Le Mars, Iowa, USA - MAY 2, 2005
Aroma: at first it was citrusy and wheaty, but later became rancid (not skunky, but some other sour smell). Appearance: cloudy straw, with a large head that lasts a couple minutes. The flavor is unexceptional, and is very bland. Not much hop, malt, wheat, or yeast flavor. None of the fruity tastes that a good wheat beer gives you. The palate was likewise thin and watery. This is a sub-standard wheat beer, and I would recomment Boulevard’s instead if you are looking for a good wheat beer made here in the midwest.

Pours a slightly cloudy golden with thin head. Aroma and taste is sweet and malty. A little bready yeast. Bland and boring.

On tap at brewery. Aroma leaning more towards a mild ale with lemon accents. Taste is sour, yeasty and lemon-lime. Sharp and acidic, with some pine elements. Thin, but smooth. Too much yeast, carbonation and hops, but where are the malts? Crisp, clean and sour finish. Overall, not very good - like a pale lager with extra yeast and lemon juice.

Flaske 0,355l fra ICA Stakkevollan. Veldig lysebrun. Nærmest gul. Litt uklar. Høyt luftig skum. God ferskenaroma. Smaken ganske vassen. Litt fersken. Svakt syrlig & litt søt ettersmak. På det jevne.

There really wasn’t a lot to this beer... Cloudy yellow pour with a small white head. Only some slight citrusy aroma, but you have to sniff really hard. Flavor was wheaty, with a little of the citrus hoppiness from the nose. Light-bodied and watery. Not a whole lot in the finish, either.

Hazy, pale yellow with a strong white foam. Fruity with a hint of spices. Malt, citrus and some spice. medium to light body with dry finish.

Bottle. Not that great. Unimpressive, miller lightish appearance and pour, maybe a tad more golden. Not by any means unappealing, just nothing unique or special. Barely a wheat beer, saved by a hay / straw flavor with a moderate to strong citrus presence. My wife loves it.
