2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20There is a lot of hype about this beer, since I’m next to the 312 area code, but there isn’t too much to back it up for me. It is slightly too light, slightly too muddled, slightly complex and not much else. I guess it has a pleasant taste and is easy to drink, in the summer that is.

The appearance and presence of yeast on the bottom is what sold it to me. I poured it into a German beer glass and first noticed a citrus aroma. That was the best of it...from then on it was a hoppy bitterness that I associate with many "rough around the edges" craft beers, followed by a disappointing thin taste and a lingering bitter finish. To me, this brew was not ready for market.

Light sweet aroma. White head. Yellow color. Sweet orange flavor, not terribly strong.

Pretty good wheat ale. It’s like Goose Island’s take on cheap beer... I can dig it.

Light sweet aroma with a modest white head on a urine colored body. Fairly strong sweet flavor with a light finish.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear yellow color with a one finger fluffy white. Slight citrus aroma, as well as some wheat. Pretty light on taste, but clean. Wheat, bready malts, some orange peel, and lemongrass.

Not a bad wheat beer but not a great one either. Not worth the price.

From bottle. Aroma of yeast, grass, citrus. Crisp, light, slightly but pleasantly bitter. Light hop flavor. Taste hints of citrus. Lively carbonation but not overly so. Went really well with salad. Glad I tried this. We definitely reach for this on a summer’s day.

Pours hazy yellow with a thin fizzy head. Wheat aroma but fades on the tongue. Not bad but certainly skippable.

Pint at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Fizzy yellow, not much head. Weird prickly overcarbonation. Nose of grain, corn, wheat, and some grassy hops. Taste is sweet and any real flavor is obscured by bubbles. Blech.
