Light all around pale with some nice body and a hoppy finish. Nothing to really stand out from the crowd besides it’s amazing freshness served at the Goose Island pub. The hoppy finish, as well as it’s nose was full of pines and grapefruit.

Nice gold color with some deeper hues. Rocky head. Nothing spectacular, but a good ale nonetheless. Smells sweet and a bit spicy and hoppy as well. But not too complex a nose on this one. Quite sweet, with the malts just barely outweighing the hops in this one. As the description says, you do have some spice coming through. I’m not sure how I feel about this one hop summer deal, because it’s kinda wrecking the complexity. I dunno... Decent brew, though.

5 oz sample at the brewpub. Cloudy light golden with hints of blood...sweet, lightly spicy nose; light, fresh clean palate, a slice or two of grapefruit emerges...a bit watery and too unbalanced with harsh hoppiness dominating the finish. Just OK.

Murky, dark golden body with virtually no head. Certainly not the most attractive beer I’ve seen. Big, piney hop nose with a healthy dose of grapefruit, lemons, oranges, caramel and light grains. The body is moderately full with a slightly harsh body considering the low abv. The flavors show a strong tendencies toward the intense hops. Piney and bitter with underlying breads, sweet caramel and some whole grains. The finish is long and bitter and has little room for balancing malt. Not overly impressive with its lack of balance and strong bitterness. With that in mind, it’s an otherwise tasty beer.

Draft, Goose Island. A nice, mild ale with a subdued character, just a touch of bitterness, but it builds in the aftertaste. This is lighter than the Hopscotch ale I just had, but its taste is just a bit "bigger," even with a very light color. Hop taste becomes predonomiant at the end for a bigger finish.
