Ny buddies liked this more than I did. It has a nice citrus and tropical aroma, the flavor is more jsut basic bitterness with some mild complements, a good subtle ipa.

Flight on tap at Goose Clybourn (Chicago, IL). Pours a glowing orange amber hue, deep summer sunset glow. Faint haziness but near clear. Frothy whitish head dies to a filmy layer, laces ok and sticks around well. Aromas are touches of grapefruit and citrus, growing as it warms. Lemon, oranges and gumball. Bready malt, some gentle sweetness. Bubblegum, grapefruit, lemons. Florals and some touches of biscuit. Initial is medium bodied, grapefruit and gumball, touches of sweetness, Amarillo and touches of fruit. A touch of cotton candy, bready malts, a bit of biscuit. Firmly hoppy, good fruit flavors if a bit sweet overall. Middle is a decent dryness, hop character trails out with a manageable body. It’s not girthy, but it’s a bit sweet at times, mango and some melon. Backend is a touch sweet, soapy, and citrusy, lemon and dry florals. Ok, a bit sweet and small for me. Can see some crowds digging this.

Draft at Clybourn before FoBAB ’13. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have nice fruitiness, grapefruit, citrus, herbal notes, toasted malts, some earthy bitterness to the finish. Decent, not great.

Draft. Pours copper color with white head. Aroma is fruity, juicy fruit, sorta generic pnw hop character, sweet bready malts. Flavors are sweet bread and caramel, juicy fruit, orange and grapefruit, floral. Really comes across as your basic Midwest American ipa. It’s all right.

Draft at Clybourn. Pours golden with haze, white head. Nose is pretty nice. Classic Citrus peel, grapefruit with very low caramel and very clean. Some low garlic notes and tropical fruit. On tasting, the bitterness is softer and lighter than anticipated with moderate malt. Citrus through the finish but somewhat watery. More APA than IPA, imo. Low caramel and some hop oily notes. Finish is slightly sweet.

Speeddong rate... Sampled at the source... Clear transparent orangey hue and topped with a creamy white head... Tropical fruit, mango, slightly grassy nose. Pretty sweet throughout though but not bad... Flavors are more of the same with mild citrus and tropical fruit notes. Some bitterness peaking through late. Medium bodied with soft to medium carbonation. Touch herbal on the backend.
