3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at GI Wrigley. Pours a hazed gold with a dissipating white head. Nose is Brett forward. Pineapple, tart cherry, earth and funk. Some pils malt jumps out as well. On tasting, it’s a bit boozy. Vanilla notes, mild tartness. Fruity Brett notes. Moderate sweetness on the palate with a somewhat one dimensional malt profile. The oak and booze kind of overwhelm this but it’s decent overall.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the source... Tap yields a mildly transparent golden cidery hue and topped initially with a fluffy white head that eventually reduces down to a thin frothy film... Assertive bretty funk and white wine acidity upfront with some added hard liquor barrel essence. Somewhat abrasive it seems overbearing so. Pineapple fruit Brett forwardness surfaces through the middle and beyond. Slightly inviting even... Flavors turn it down a notch with what was offered up in the nose but a subdued earthiness exists throughout. Bretty with a slight acetone nature to it that tones things down. Body is lighter than what the abv suggests with a lighter than a stage level of carbonation. Not the best as the flavors seem to get a little muddled. Would I have this again? Perhaps.
