pint_size (1001), Austin, Texas, USA May 8, 2008 4-25-08 on tap at Goose Island Wrigley Field
Thick red amber color with a thin light pink head. Big blueberry smell. Flavor is a bit watery but the blueberries are surely present. Usually I am not a big fan of fruit beers - and this one is actually drinkable. It isn’t big or overpowering but rather it is fairly smooth and easy to go down.
drewbeerme (1716), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 13, 2008 on tap at gi cly. listed as "blueberry ale". pours cloudy amber with sm white head. aroma of blueberry skins. flavor is pretty much blueberries, which over takes the malts, sweet blueberry skin finish. this could work with a big dark beer. lb4lb (1275), Austin, Texas, USA May 1, 2008 Pours a dull reddish cranberry color with light white head on tap. Smell is light malt and fresh blueberries and tastes similar with a good amount of blueberry flavor. Somewhat crisp and lightly sweet but not overly so. Medium to thin bodied and very easy to drink. Not bad, actually. chicagodri (421), Chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 6, 2008 Pours a golden yellow with a thin head. Aroma is dominated by the blueberries. The blueberry flavor was decent and the beer was reasonably sweet. Not my type of beer though. Average at best. Piggy (22), Chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 6, 2008 Golden yellow in color with a light red thin head, very intense blueberry smell, taste almost like a blueberry juice with a slight alcohol taste on the palate...very very blueberry in the aftertaste
