Draft as Minx. Bright clear amber color, white edge head. Aroma of caramel and turpentine. Taste is medicinal caramel.

Draft sample at CBW AKA Minx. Poured cloudy copper color with an average fizzy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy complex yeast and floral hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy tropical bitter hop flavor with a medium to heavy bitter finish of moderate to long duration. This is a good beer that exceeded my expectations.

Provisions Beerfest, draft (under the name Minx). Clear amber body with medium off-white head, nice lacing. Taste is moderately sweet, pineapple, grapefruit. Taste is moderately sweet, pineapple, some grapefruit, melon, caramel. Sticky medium-full body. Didn’t really detect any Belgian characteristics.

Served on draft at Madison’s in Madison, WI at the GTMW pre-party under the Minx moniker. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a thin tan head. Aroma of toffee, apples, earthy notes and citrus. The taste is toffee, apple, citrus and earthy hops. Medium-full bodied. Nice beer.

On tap at the Publican. Poured a near clear gold with a slight amber hue with a white head that dissipated slowly to the edges and laced slightly. Aroma was full of pine hops with a bit of light grain and yeast backbone. Flavor had a nice pine note with slight floral and grain backbone. Well rounded.

Draft at Craft. Pours hazy deep coppery toward brown with off-tan head. Nose is caramel malt, hops, brown sugar. Tastes caramel malty, with ample hops, brown sugar, and an overall tartness that increases as it warms. Stays tart throughout, and malt-forward, with the hops backing things up.

Tap. Orange red pour. Foamy white head. Citrus aroma with a touch of scotch ale aroma. Taste is smooth - slight oak and citrus hop. Very good.

On tap at the Gingerman when I stopped in with Joe after Paul’s tasting. Pours a clear orange amber with a thin to medium beiged white head. Big sticky hops. Smooth, sweet and sticky. Caramel and hops. Delicious, lightly boozy, but not distracting. Warming alcohol and grapefruit on the finish.

Draft at the STL Hops 3rd Anniversary Party, held upstairs at the Schlafly Tap Room. Labeled "Goose Island Minx". Thanks to Karen, the Goose Island rep, for setting this one up. Pours a cloudy brown-tinted amber color with a big, creamy off-white head. Aroma of sweet malts, Belgian yeast, floral hops, fruity nectar, and citrus peel. Flavor of sweet caramel malts, Belgian yeast, floral hops, sugary dough, mild spices, and a hint of alcohol. Medium-bodied, with a malty, bready mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Definitely leans harder toward the Belgian than the DIPA, as the hops take a back seat to the malt and yeast.
