Nice yellow color with some foamy white head. Excellent citrus & belgian yeast notes in the aroma. Really really love the smell of this beer - easily my favorite aspect - I didnít even want to drink it it smelled so good! Flavor seems like its going to be a bit of a hop-bomb, but then the belgian aspects of it mute the bitterness of it a bit, creating a nice balance between flavors. Medium bodied, and dangerously drinkable, I canít wait to try this one again.

Draft at The Pub at the Greene. Orangish color, pretty clear, nice foay beige head that dissipated into nice lacing. Aroma of citrus and pine, just a touch of spice and sugar. Begins with the malt sweetness of crystal/caramel malt? and good presence of pine and citrus in flavor and aroma. The hops are sticky and resinous, chewy, very good balance. There is a fruitiness beyond the citrus, Belgian yeast influence perhaps? The initial sweetness leads to a blend of grainy, bready, slightly spicy tastes as the beer warms. Iím not sure I would call this a DIPA, sort of a tweener in my opinion. Strange, but very enjoyable, the more it warmed, the more I liked it. I would love to see this bottled and distributed on a regular basis. This is easily my favorite Gooses Island behind the Bourbon Co. Stout series.

On tap at El Bait Shop under the name Minx. Damn fine iipa. The right way to mix American and English hops in an IPA. Fruity. Grassy. A bit grape-y. Nice slightly bready malt character. High carbonation.

Draft at Craft. Pours hazy deep coppery toward brown with off-tan head. Nose is caramel malt, hops, brown sugar. Tastes caramel malty, with ample hops, brown sugar, and an overall tartness that increases as it warms. Stays tart throughout, and malt-forward, with the hops backing things up.

On tap at Romans Pub,very interesting, complex aroma of caramel malts,Belgian esters, and a cute tease of hops. Flavor is full bodied with the same characteristics, Hops dont really come through as strong, not much bitterness, kind of like a caramel apple blend of malting and fruit, very satisfying. I love these Belgian American blends
