Flight pour on tap at the brewpub (Chicago, IL). Pours a rich deep amber copper blend, rich glow, no real haze at all with a striking glow overall. A frothy tannish head sits atop, laces small as a small ring. Aromas are richer citrus, lemons and grapefruit, good citrus elements give great flavors, some sweeter bready doughy malts, touch of toffee, some touches of estery apple and fruit. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied, richer citrusy hop front end shows lemons and gentle spice, yeast. Belgian yeast influence shows some mellow spice, estery apple and pear paired with citrusy hops, firm bitter citrus hop presence. Backend is gentle sweetness, crisp malts, a touch of toast, richer dryness, with firm citrusy hops, lemon and grapefruit, some gentle spice. A better beer than I thought it would be.

Rated from memory, had this beer this past weekend at the Wrigleyville brewpub... Belgian yeast and citrusy hops aroma... Flavor is perfectly balanced, light citrus body with notes of Belgian yeast and fruits... One of the best Belgian IPAs I’ve had...
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 NobleSquirrel (3286) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 24, 2012
Draft at Clybourn. Pours an interesting looking pinkish-orange with a thin white head. The nose is strongly American hopped, catty with some tropical fruit. Light malt. Carbonation is a bit low. The bitterness is medium with good fruity hops but the Belgian yeast eats into it a bit. Finishes peppery. Okay but the yeast is a bit much, imo.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 pantanap (3148) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 18, 2012
On tap at clybourn... Pours mostly transparent golden apricot hue and topped with a thin to medium frothy white head... Semi-sweet Belgian yeast ethers with a citrusy tea herbalness. Just right for the style... Flavors are more of the same. Semi-sweet a touch herbal with a formulaic Belgian yeast component and rather clean citrusy hop profile. Medium bodied with adequate carbonation.
