A beautiful black stout with a small chocolate head that comes back with ever swirl of your glass. Aroma is very rich full of chocolate, malt and alcohol. Full flavored beer that will stand up cigars or great as dessert. Nice and silky on your palate like when chocolate melts on your tongue. Flavors grow and intensify as the temp raises fun ride from cold to room temp.

04-09-2011. Picked up a bottle at the Clybourne Pub. Bottled on date of March 25, 2011, bought it two days later on the 27th.
A - Pitch black, even held to light thereís just barely any color at the edges. Even a rough pour produces only about a centimeter of mocha tan head, which quickly dissipates and leaves a thin ring around the edges of the glass.
S - Very sweet, mostly milk chocolate and alcohol, not picking up any hop aroma at all.
T- The first wave is a powerful blend of dark chocolate, coffee and warm, bourbon-y sweet alcohol. On the back end it melts into an earthy mocha flavor. The alcohol is pretty powerful but isnít excessive.
M- Very creamy, coats your mouth with a nice coffee flavor.
O- A pretty damn good stout, considerably better than Night Stalker in my opinion. Definitely worth drinking again.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Black viscous pour with a small brown head. The aroma is soft, mellow roast, with light alcohol and chocolate. The flavor is a thick rich balance of roast and chocolate, with a slightly warm finish. Incredibly well balanced and leaves a subtle, lingering taste of cocoa powder. Fantastic.

í11 bottle. Black pour with a scattering of tan foam. Dry cocoa, light roast, fudge, and some trailing hop bitterness in the aroma. Fudge and cocoa in the taste with underlying roast, some oxidization, light bitterness, and alcohol. Oily appearance but somewhat light mouthfeel. Nice.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Dark beer with brown hints around the edges. Big sweet malty nose with lots of chocolate and caramel. This is a big sweet beer with milk chocolate, sweetened coffee, caramel, some burnt toast and a hint of campfire. The 11.5% is sort of hidden, even if it drinks as a big, boozy beer. Very nice sipping impy stout.

Bomber from trade. Thanks! Dated 3/25/11, enjoyed on 8/30/13. Pours a deep black with small brown head. Aroma of chocolate and licorice, maybe some sweet vanilla notes and hints of roast. Flavor is big sweet dark fruits, black currants, light anise, molasses, and with an extra kick of milk chocolate. Finishes with a nice bitter and lingering bittersweet chocolate. Feel a bit of heat on this too. Mouthfeel is perfect, thick and velvety but with a bit a carbonation to balance. Nice beer!
