Stoutfest 2014. Dark brown pour light tan head. Hop resin aroma and taste like something FFF would do. Avg, not how I like them.

GI Stout Fest 2014. Pours a dark brown with a light brown head. Aroma is of piney hops, some floral notes, roasty coffee notes in the background. The taste is slightly on the bitter side but still well balanced. Slightly dry on the finish but a really refreshing beer among all the BA stouts.

Super dark brown pour, brown head. Interesting beer. Tropical fruits and stout. Not a combo of flavors that I expected to work, but it does. Chocolate, roast, oranges, mango notes...finishes a bit dry. GABF pour.

GABF 2013. Pours a brownish black appearance with a thin brown head. Slight veggie, dark chocolate, tangy, a touch fruity aroma. A bit woody, chewy bready, roasted malty flavor. I got some veggie/woody notes in the aroma and flavor that kind of turned me off, but I appear to be the exception. Hope to try it again in the future and update this rating.

Cask Conditioned @ brewpub: Pours opaque with a creamy beige head and very good lace. The aroma has roasted, chocolate, charred, tangerine, mango, pink grapefruit, piney and herbal esters. The taste is moderately citrus and tropical fruit over layer of roasted coffee and bittersweet cocoa. Some pine, herbs and earthy ash as well. The mouth feel is smooth and moderate bodied with a slightly ashy and metallic finish. A nice hoppy stout that is borderline on a Black IPA.

Draft at the Clyborn Brewpub. Pours a jet black color with a thin tan head and some lacing. Aroma is malty, roasty, coffee, some orangy citrus. Medium on the palate with light, smooth carbonation. Flavor is sweet, malty, nutty, roasty, some citrusy orange hops, with a smooth coffee finish. Very nice.
