2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JUN 29, 2006 On tap at G.I. Clybourn. Poured a clear, bright golden with a tall cap of creamy white head. Lots of lacing. Light and airy aroma with pale malts, clean floral, and a hint of honey (more honey as it warmed up). Pale malt and honey base with mild floral bitterness surrounding... not terribly exciting, but crisp. Light and clean on the palate.. never watery.. no complaints.
Bottle: Clear medium golden pour with a moderate white head. Some yeast and floral hops in the aroma, but rather weak. Sweet bready malt first hit the palate, followed by some caramel and subtle spices. Citrus hops and some bread provided a pleasant medium-lasting finish. Balance was quite good, and this was a refreshing blonde.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at GI Clybourn. Clear gold in color with a thin white sheen head. Fresh hop pellet aroma complimented with sourdough and lemons, raising expectations to that of a nice summer refresher. Big hoppy flavor accents. A little wishy-washy in the flavor department with hops begging like the youngest sibling for all the attention. Sweet, crisp sweeteners of apricots, honey and lemons come in on the backend. Crisp croissant finish, and a nice summer quaff.

Gold color with a thin head. Grainy aroma. More fresh grains in the taste with a bit of a spice kick on the end. One of the few Golden/Blond Ales worth trying.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
snifter / slightly active light amber body with thick and frothy white head. creamy and smooth beer, but slightly rocky in mouthfeel. little flavor--it’s what the style is suppose to do anyway--of minerals, slight spice, and hmm; subtle; wheaty. this wouldn’t be bad to start a session.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(12oz bottle, best by 4/17/05) Lightly hazed straw body topped by big white head. Aroma is medium sweet, biscuit, some floral/straw, spice, light banana. Taste is medium sweet, bread, straw, light pepper, apple. Light body with a fairly dry finish for style. Decent enough summery beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bright sparkling clear golden body topped by a frothed milk head (think cappucino). The aroma is light biscuity malt, some leven lighter wheat, and minimal hops. The flavor is bready up front, quite bitter, then lightly floral. Pretty flat flavor profile overall. Light fizzy body with a bitter hoppy finsih. At 50 F it is too cold. Letting it warm to nearer to 60 F helps things out a bit.
