Bottle at Hay Merchant. Pours a cloudy brown with small beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is booze, faint cherry, oak. Medium mouthfeel with light cherry, oak, and boozey finish. Very good.

Bottle@Gothenburg-tasting Apperance: Black as night with a dark brown head. Aroma: Bourbon, Ripe cherries, Chocolate. Taste: Bourbon, Chocolate, Cherries, Alcohol, Grain. Palate: Smooth as silk with a nice sting of the alcohol in the end. Low carbonation but nowhere near flat. A very good bcbs-series. Up there among the best ones!

Bottle courtesy of madbeerbaron. Not much cherry in the nose. Pours pitch black. No head. Not much booze in the nose. Taste has some cherry but honestly it is quite weird. Very, well, cherry, but not what I was expecting. Kind of tart and kind of astringent like chewing on fruit skin. Definitely some alcohol boost. Good but definitely interesting. Something interesting there. Hmmmm.

Bottle share thanks to Homer321. Pours a deep dark blackish color with no head. Subtle cherry aroma, light bourbon notes, big malty chocolate character. Lots of real cherry flavor, not an artificial cherry like typical beers...Like eating a cherry. Finishes with all the bourbon character you’d expect from regular bourbon county stout followed by more cherries. Tons of yumm.

Bottle share thanks to Homer! Pours black, no head. Aroma is bourbon, of course, cherry is lite, if at all. Taste is smooth again, get a bit if the cherry, a bit sweet. Some chocolate mixed in there, boost burn a bit in the background. Tasty. Think I like prop a tad more.

Bottled on 11/12/12 according to the bottle. Bourbon in the aroma, some chocolate and just a bit of cherries and molasses. Pitch black body with a thin tan head. Chocolate, coffee, dark cherries, and a lot of alcohol. Thick and oily mouthfeel. Delicious.

Dumpfer Kirschantrunk mit deutlichem Alkohol. Wenig schokoladig, vollmundiger werdend, weiterhin alkoholisch. Noch OK aber zu viel von allem. 9/11/8/12/9/8

Sweet. Cherry. Rye whiskey, notes of the beer that is BCS but just too cherry medicine sweet to really appreciate.

On tap at Wooly Mammoth.
Appearance: Pitch black body with a dense and creamy tan head.
Aroma: Earthy, oaky, hints of whiskey and smoke.
Taste: Very complex, huge earthy tones with chocolate and a big underlying medicinal cherry flavor. The whiskey flavorsare balanced nicely, adding a hint of spice and caramel along with ethanol. Surprisingly not much booze is shown.
Palate: Thick and lightly carbonated.
Overall: I enjoyed two 8 ounce glasses in an hour and a half. Despite me not being in love with this I find it worth buying twice since I had the opportunity. There’s very little booze burn, which is a surprise for a beer this high in ABV . I wouldn’t recommend seeking this out, but it’s worth a buy if you see it.
