4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Had at a tasting with BCS 09, BCVS, BCCS, and BCSR. The aroma that hits you is that of bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, and molasses like the normal BCS but the chocolate is a bit more present and the coffee is dominant. The taste is similar but the coffee takes a bit of a backseat and is really balanced. It isnít as coffee forward as say Breakfast Stout but you definitely get a good amount of it. Reallt good beer and like it more than BCSV and a tad bit more than BCS.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Was able to pick up a 32oz growler at a Migration event. Poured into a snifter, deep black with a foamy chocolate disappearing head. Huge nose dominated by bourbon, oak, dark fruits, and vanilla. Flavors of roasted coffee, vanilla, oak, and bourbon. Low carbonation and an oily mouthfeel.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Pours that nice clean dark chocolate color youd expect but doesnt look thick or heavy like you get with some imp stouts and has almost no head. Smells like all kinds of rich coffee, chocolate and anise. Judging by smell itís tough to say if it has a big dose of anise or if itís the diesel from the 14%. On the 1st sip i thought, wow theres alot going on here, but the flavors dont linger long. The beer manages to have a fresh coffee taste up front that transitions to a chocolate flavor that goes back to a roasted coffee bean flavor on the back side. Much like their regular bourbon county stout the higj abv is masked wonderfully amd its go just the right amoumt of sweet. With out a doubt one of the best stoits ive ever had.

Pour dark and thick like a good espresso. Bitter up front with a sweet vanilla finish.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Coffee forward, strong on the nose and opens bitter. Great BCBS follows after bitterness, overall a wonderful compliment of flavor to the traditional.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Wonderful aroma is both interesting and appealing.
Drinks like an imperial milk stout with coffee. A tad too sweet in the finish.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours an opaque, nearly black with a short-lived dark tan head. Rich, dark woody aromas and light notes of fresh coffee. Thick, smooth and chewy. Very rich brew. A lot of vanilla, bourbon, oak, and sweet cherry and fig. Not much coffee.
Addendum: as the beer warms, I note a lot more coffee

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
"this one was cool enough that i just ordered a kilo a the coffee that was in this beer. still young, and therefore a little hot. definitely sweet, but not cloyingly so. this beer, as well as the rare, makes me wonder if this beer was 10 or 11% if it would get an even higher score. the heat is the only thing keeping this from, say, a 4.7-8. coffee, chocolate, vanilla, charred malt...damn good all around. canít wait for the coffee beans. in 6-12 months, it may be higher in the feel."

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
At a tasting, thanks DSG, small bubbly brown head, treacly pour, opaque quite dark brown colour, aroma of roasted coffee, espresso and green shrubs, quite aromatic, flavour of coffee, chocolate, vanila, cocoa and a touch of cherry, everything a bit too sweet and strong. Aroma is amazing, flavour is a little less so.
