Aroma was a heavy toasted chocolate malt, vanilla and woody bourbon. Full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Heavy complex toasted malt, vanilla and bourbon flavor and a heavy complex sweet finish of long duration. This is a standout beer.

Bottle… Tampa “Farewell to Sebletitje” Tasting… This beer rocks!… Pours pitch black with a thin, bubbly, tan head. The only real difference between this one’s bouquet and that of the traditional Bourbon County Stout is that I am picking up a boatload of toasted oak here… oak-o-fucking-rama. Although coconut is not as heavily featured in this one, there is plenty of opulent, ancient bourbon. Full-bodied and oily with soothing carbonation. Loads of bourbon flavor – a good bit more than the traditional version – but surprisingly, there may be less alcohol heat in this treatment. I would have to do a horizontal to be certain. Finishes sticky, sweet and chocolaty with a healthy splash of bourbon. World class imperial stout shared by Degarth. Thanks, Joey!
