Bottle. Pours dark brown with only a small beige head. Nose is vanilla, molasses, vanilla, chocolate. Flavor is sticky sweet, with caramel, vanilla, chocolate, coffee. Full mouthfeel. Ridiculously good.

Tasted at Goose Island Southern Migration. Reminds me of classic Bourbon County, but dominated by vanilla. Least favorite of all the Bourbon County Variants. Its like Ringo, in that, its still a damn Beatle. Bottle - The Argosy - Atlanta, GA

Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is of bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, slight alcohol, and roasted malt. Smells absolutely fantastic. Taste starts off with a ton of vanilla flavor and chocolate. The bourbon flavors of the base beer arenít as strong, but they do blend it well with the vanilla. Mouthfeel is sticky and thick. Sharp alcohol bite after each sip. The vanilla didnít come off as overpowering, it just made the base beer even better. Just perfect!!!

Bottle: Inky black body with almost no head at all on the pour - just a timid, light-tan ring that outlines the edge. Aroma has the Bourbon County sweet signature bourbon, oak, & melty chocolate, only this time thereís more of a sweet, vanilla saccharine presence, rather than just your normal barrel vanillin. Brown sugar, molasses... lots of bourbon. All the usual Bourbon County suspects are there. Taste is much the same; heavy bourbon with a mixture of sweet vanilla, brown sugar, dense cocoa fudge, & mild oaky tannins throughout. Itís very warm... almost hot, even, & maybe more so than some vintages of the original Bourbon County. More bourbon, vanilla, & some deep fudge in the finish. Huge, sticky, thick mouth feel. Very nice, awesome take on BCS, although I donít believe itís worth what it takes to get a bottle now.

Bottle gift from SJ , Goose Island night. Another winner from this brewery. Canít believe it is retired as we had two bottles? Nice roasted, vanilla, nut, Earth and chcolate flavors. Well blended with a nice strong vanilla bean and honey finish.

Big thanks to BelgBeerGeek for sharing this one. If you want to smell & taste hazelnut, praline, chocolate, cocos, vanilla, bourbon, honey, caramel, this is your beer. Not very complex but mouthfeel is good and has a great aroma & taste. Praline in a glass.

Rating 1501. Very dark brown, almost pitch black. Less siropy as expected. The vanilla gives a nice touch to this brew. Combined with the coffee and chocolate, this one is really like tasting a dessert. I like it for sure. 2010
