Aroma – Huge bourbon aroma with the deep dark malts. Tons of aromas.
Appearance – Dark black in color, no head and clear.
Flavor – One of the best Bourbon ales I have ever had The beer was flawless. Had flavor to give and was not overpowering. The rich malts and the deep oak flavors where awesome.
Palate – Nice Mouthfeel, Great texture with a super dry finish.
Overall – One of the best beers I have ever had thus far. The beer was the nectar of the gods. Great stuff I will seek this beer to the ends of the earth.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 9, 2010 A dark black beer with little head. The aroma had vanilla, chocolate, wood, & was a crazy knock you down aroma that shows it it one of the most powerful aromas in beer. The taste was a major vanilla taste with a lot of wood, very sweet, & reminded me of a chocolate covered Vanilla Wafer that had twice the vanilla in it. This is meant to be drank in small segments as this beer is one huge beast of a black liquid. RKanis (80), Cincinnati, USA

Pours dark brown to black with no head. The aroma is bourbon, molasses, roasted malt and a little bit of soy sauce. The flavor is roasted malt, chocolate, oak, bourbon and some light soy sauce. Medium mouthfeel, low carbonation and a hot alcohol presence. Very good beer. gunnfryd (3746), Kristiansand, Norway

Overt whiskey and alcohol nose-you should know what you’re in for before the first taste. No surprise here-thick, viscous, whiskey and alcohol dominate this wonderful sipper. Full body and flavors-this one kicks butt. hero12 (80), Minnesota, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 28, 2010 Pours a dark brown, almost black color with a medium, mahogany head. Intense aroma of cherries and hint of alcohol. Extremely sweet, chocolate cherry taste. The sweetness is actually a little overwhelming, but this beer is extremely complex and very good. Very heavy beer with almost no carbonation and a smooth finish. yngwie (5173), Kristiansand, Norway
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jan 28, 2010 Bottle, at Esbjerg Beerfestival. It’s a black, oily beer with a small, tan head. Bourbon, burnt malts, alcohol, sweetness, licorice and tar, some hints of coconut and vanilla on the nose. Warming, oily and full-bodied on the palate, with alchol, some vanilla and coconut, burnt malts, a little licorice and bitterness, and a good sweetness. Lasting finish with alcohol, all good things dark, and sweetness. A wonderful beer, needs some time to drink it, it’s too powerful to rush down, but delightful as a companion to a good book I guess. 091022
