Amazing beer. Combines the roastedness of the cacao and coffee with the smooth vanilla of the bourbon and fresh vanilla. Has some notes of cinnamon and sweet nuts. Simply brilliant.

Mooie zwarte kleur met een volle bruine kraag. Ruikt vanille, crème, zoetig. Smaakt vol, vanille, crème alcohol. Goede nasmaak.

Pours a pitch black beer with a good tan brown head. Smells bourbon, vanilla, chocolate. Tastes vanilla, bourbon, chocolate and silky. Low carbo, medium body and a oily texture.

Very good, vanilla balances out the bourbon again. A little better than teh coffee version and a little less good than the cherry, but all things are pretty good here. Vanilla only lightly evident. Bitter finish, some dark chocolate and coffee. Served in a custom-made plastic Goose Island shot glass. Full disclosure - I was bribed with t-shirts and free glassware last night though none of it affected my ratings...

Rationed out from a bottle at ChurchKey. Jet black with tan head. Aromas of vanilla, bourbon, dark fruit, chocolate, roast. Tasting notes of vanilla, bourbon, dark fruit, a bit of dark chocolate. Full body with a dry finish. The vanilla has held up pretty well, would love to see them re-brew this sometime.

UPDATED: JAN 10, 2015 bottleshare thanks to Me. Nose is only slightly more vanilla than regular BCS, a ton of marshmallow. Taste is mostly chocolate with moderate vanilla. Seems a bit sweeter than regular BCS. alcohol is well hidden.

Pours a deep dark thick black, minimal light brown head. Bourbony, oaky, a bit of vanilla but less than expected, malty caramel toffee like notes follow. Much more vanilla in the flavor, kind of like ice cream, big alcohol flavor, bourbony, chocolate, caramel, sweet. Not bad boost juice.

Bottle share thanks to DexterCat. Pours black no head. Aroma of bourbon, chocolate, normal bourbon county. Taste is smooth, chocolate, maybe some vanilla? but its quite lite. Aftertaste is smooth, Very nice beer, a bit sweet.

Bottle thanks to drewface. Pours a nice dark color. Minimal head. Not much vanilla. Could be because the bottle is old. Flavor is nice. I get a lot vanilla still. Still get the 13 alcohol. Pretty awesome overall. I like it as much as the rare.

5/IV/14 - 1Pt. 6Fl. Oz. bottle from The Bottleshop (Canterburry, UK) @ home - BB: n/a, 2010 vintage (2014-340)

Dark brown black beer, huge aery beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of vanilla, caramel, alcohol, bit dusty, sugary, sweet, toasted coconut, burnt sugar. MF: ok carbon, full body. Taste: sweet start, burnt caramel, sugary, some banana, mocha, sweet chocolate, vanilla. Aftertaste: lots of vanilla, burnt caramel, sugar, bit sourish, chocolate, more vanilla, alcohol burn which is a bit of a shame and makes it a 4 instead of 5 for Palate.
