Nice caramel coloured thick head, aroma of bourbon and chocolate, full bodied, can really taste the bourbon with subtle hints of vanilla coming through, at 13% a.b.v you can feel it but in a nice way, one for the winter, worth the money

when you receive this bottle it is reassuringly big ( 600ml), when you crack the cap you are greeted with a deep smell of bourbon. it pours jet black with a thin tan head that disappears very quickly. the taste.... the world stops. a vanillary smoothness that is slightly lighter than the normal bourbon county but somehow more inviting. on first sip it is you own private moment where nothing else matters. this is extremely smooth, despite is % it does not taste overly alcoholic like some barrel aged beers can. This is a remarkable beer and an absolute must buy for any bourbon/stout lover.

Bottle at home - 13/08/12.
Pours a rich black colour, mahogony brown at the edges under light, with a thin coffee head that soon thins to the edges and forms little puddles on top.
Coffee, vanilla, roasted malts, bourbon, maltesers, burnt caramel and sugars.
All of the aromas in the taste with a good alcohol burn in the aftertaste but not OTT.
Great mouthfeel, oily and rich, little in the way of carbonation.
Great Imperial Stout, the bourbon flavour is well pitched and the alcohol well disguised.

Bottle.Very dark in color, small head. Sweet bourbon and malt flavors. Carmel bourbon and vanilla are the up front flavors, sweet dark malt follows with a bourbon bite at the finish. Yum. My second favorite of the varients.

Bottle shared by badnewsbeers. Deep opaque brown-black body, thin light brown head. Nose of bourbon and alcohol heat, with molasses, brown sugar, and toast. Sweet, hot body with burnt caramels, brown sugar, thick molasses, and vanilla. A bit rough but excellent.

At a tasting , 3 bottles brought 1 Rare by gEUS, 1 coffee and 1 Vanilla by me
Thax to Phredrik for trading !!
Head: Thin, almost nothign
Colour: black
Smell + Taste: offcourse more vanilla than the Rare and Coffe, tough i found it to be more balanced with allot more flavour of a true Imperial Stout , rather than Bourbon mixed with Imperial Stout, very veyr good wiht awesome notes of chocolate, bourbon, malts, coffee, and perfect booze and sweetness balance, awesome my favorit of the 3 versions i’ve tasted so far ! ( not counted the regular )
